If you just use twitter.com you won't get nothing out of it. Get a browser like "tweetdeck". Thats what I use. Can be used on laptop or iphone.

Wonderful. For the same reasons I can't stand Apple's iCrap (iPod, iPhone etc), I shall continue to avoid Twitter like the plague.

Anything that needs a 3rd party application to work properly DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY.

You can always block them. My main gripe is with people who post the utterly mundane, as in 'Having egg & chips for tea.'

That's only for mobile use. Twitter works fine on it's own on a PC. Having a specific app just makes it easier to use on a phone. Instead of having to open your web browser and sign in you just open the app. I use Echofon because it has push notifications
