| Should run away with this. Foster had a field day by all accounts, so Hoff, Carmont and Pat linking up with Sam could be very fruitful.

| Hopefully a big win and a good, professional performance to stand us in good stead for the Wire cup game. Cant see Maguire resting anyone tbh, with 8 days between this game and the quarter finalI think he'll pick the strongest squad.

He's lucky Prescott picked up an injury, as he didn't have much chance of getting back in the team currently, imo.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Wigan (insert number) - 0 Wakefield
We need to make sure our defence is on form before the big game against wire. I would love to nil wakey as preparation, although maybe it would be better to get our mistakes out of the way this week?
They looked very poor against Saints.
Finally, tell our best players to stay away from the posts.

In place of who?
On another note, Kear's comments after their game against Saints were baffling. He made it out like they used that game as a training match for the one against us...
Wakefield coach John Kear:
"They did show some resilience and fight in the second half. We might have witnessed a bit of healing to go into next week. We said it was about getting ready for Wigan.

So Wakey were using the Saints home game as a warm up for Wigan away, and disregarding the result?
Doesn't really make any sense does it?

It does if you pay any attention at all to the context.
Kear is saying that the game was lost at half time (34-0 down to a much better side) and that the second half was not about winning the game (impossible) but about trying to rebuild confidence going into the next game by competing as best they can.
The next game just happens to be against Wigan.

I may have neglected to read that part
