Richards, Roberts, Finch and Fielden were all missing and all would walk into the saints side.

He would. Much better player than LMS. LMS is overated but he will go well at saints because of the 3 props around him.

I think today showed just how badly we need an organiser in the halves. Finch can't come back quickly enough. I'd still prefer to see Leuluai splitting with with McIlorum at hooker. He doesn't dictate the game and his kicking remains AWFUL.

O'Loughlin put in a shift, as per, but he's far, far better when acting as a pivot from LF rather than trying to dictate the attacking play.

I think people take Deacon for granted because of his age. He was such an important part of us winning the league and winning the Grand Final last year, we have a massively young squad and just having him out there brings out the best in players like Sam, Joel, Faz, Charnley, Leuluai and O'loughlin who can just play their own game while he organises and calms everything.

Agreed. If Deacon's out for any length of time it may be worth playing Powell. He has all the attributes were currently missing at HB.
