What we dont want on Friday is the game to 'kick off' and we lose any players to sending offs or citings for the semi-final next week, beating Saints is important to us as fans, but a trip to Wembley would be a massive boost to the club both financially and lifting the 'feelgood factor' among the supporters and the town in general.

Maybe they were joking around? After all both did come through Wigan's academy together (I think!). I often square upto fellow rival amateur players on a night out, messing around of course and it is taken light-heartedly all the time.
