What makes you think that? No just in the state of shock, it was and Ainscough and King re-run. But then again, Carmont not watching the surrounds didn't help either, giving Richards the call Gafa was flying in would of helped slightly I think.

yeah for one game so far this year. He's one of the safest under the high ball in the league, o i know lets drop him because he got done once.
Ainscough shouldnt have been dropped from the team when he did, BUT he does have a problem under the high ball, its happen numerous times this year and if he is in the side he WILL get targeted. Comparing the two is just stupid.
BUT if ainscough played like roberts did last night, everyone would be saying he's amazing.

true, but i wasn't necessarilly replying towards you, more the whole thread.
Richards' was a mistake, Ainscoughs is a flaw in his game AT PRESENT. Thats the difference.
You ain't gonna tell me any team will be stupid enough to target richards under the high ball!

I said to my Dad when they kicked to Richards "That is a waste of time" How wrong I was. He didn't just miss one high kick towards him by the way, it was two - the other being for the disallowed try. Of course Richards has suddenly not become vulnerable to high kicks, he just had an off night.
The thing is though how many times has Ainscough been caught out with high kicks yet people such as you are telling us he has a flaw in his game? He has only played 13 SL games and people have been very quick to attach this label and IMO it all stems form him making a similar mistake to Richards did last night, failing to jump for the ball. Once.

it's not just happened the once, its happened a couple of times. And i'm not jumping on his back just because of those two kicks. It's because wherever there is a kick near him, he doesn't jump, or even look to attempt to jump. I've not seen any evidence in any of his first team performances that show he has the ability at present to outjump his opposing number.
For the record i believe that Ainscough should be in the side, was undeservedly dropped and has since struggled to get back in the side. If he were to play every week and could then show me that he could indeed at LEAST put pressure on the opposition winger under the high ball then i'll stop going on about it.
Bottom line is, if we played ainscough he would be targetted under the high ball, and from what I have seen he wouldn't be able to defend them sufficiently at present.

| Never ceases to amaze me this board. Ever.
We're moaning about someone not moaning about a player who didn't jump for the ball last night?
WE WON, WHO GIVES A TOSS?
Some people need to get a grip

| Complete joke of a topic!
Richards had a complete off night, as his kicking showed, I expect an article in the paper. '' Pat states his intent to improve kicking side of game'' something like that
He's safe as houses under the high ball, I was not expecting that last night, but as someone as stated, Carmont should have given Richards a shout as to the where abouts of Gafa, just watching the replay on SS, showed Carmont was a little lost.

If we'd of won 82-0 we'd still be screwed because ST knocked on a few times or Feka didn't make too many yards.
Some people are far too hard to please.

You'll get somebody saying 'you are Brian Noble and I claim my £5' because you said that.
You are 100% correct though
