The rent money has never previously been paid to Wigan Athletic so I would presume they could survive perfectly well.
The new owners stated they wouldn't be removing the rugby as it makes business sense to receive money for nothing.

I'm not on about the rent it's the money that they make from the alcohol and food kiosks and if we weren't there it would stand empty for 3-4 months plus when latics play away from home,if you add all the days up it would be a lot for a stadium to be unused

None of which has previously gone to Wigan Athletic nor has any income from events held there practically weekly throughout the year.
The stadium and football club were two seperate companies officially owned by two seperate entities. Latics do now benefit from all of those as the businesses were combined during the takeover.

The stadium was owned by Wigan Athletic Holdings as was the training ground. The club was owned by Wigan Athletic FC Ltd. It was done so that the assets could never be taken from WAFC should they go bust.
No monies from the stadium were ever paid to the football club they all went to the holdings company which was basically Whelco DW's family business.

Many do, but these days expect some cover from the weather, which is not the case for visiting supporters at Leeds.
Unless of course you want to stand in the East and West Stands incognito!

Why not simply say: What has any of this got to do with Stuart Fielden instead of using modern day film and television language?

What are you on about, I was only making the point that we do not have a stadium of our own thanks to our Council not helping the club in the same way that the Councils of St Helens and Warrington helped their clubs to find sites and grant planning permission for their Stadiums to be built.
Nothing to do with how you stood at Central Park!

According to company house it was owned by Wigan football company and they in tern were mainly owned by the holding company, so yeah it would have gone into their coffers

It didn't, and that comes from being in meetings with the chief exec discussing multiple facets of the club and how it was/is run.
