Anyone know who's out of contract in superleague?'"

Not sure how accurate or up-to-date that is, but a few interesting ones on there. I'd definitely take Sims or Fifita or both if TT and FPN leave.
Also, I know he isn't a prop but I'd be trying everything to get McMeeken if he still hasn't signed a new deal.

Tariq is the only one who's the real deal in my book.

| Wouldn't fancy any of those. Fifita isn't within a country mile of his brother. He is sloppy and ill disciplined.
I wouldn't mind taking a punt on that bloke at Leigh called Hansen. Haven't seen much of him though.

Promising young lad called Hock that plays for them, too, he'd be worth a tryout...

| I was watching one of those old games on Wigan TV the other day. and Hock looked a different class to most others on the pitch. Such a shame.

Really? Leigh fans have been quite critical of him this year, I don't think he's going very well from what I've seen.

| Honestly can't think of a prop in the UK who I really rate.
Hill is ok and does decent minutes but missing the mongrel for me to be a top prop. Walmsley seems seems incapable of doing decent minutes.
The number of interchanges has had major detrimental effect on the quality and stamina of players within the game in general and with props in particular.
FPN for me is next to useless this season after a very average first season. Blows out of his arris after a few minutes and has about as much aggression as my 5 year old grandson. Another Southsea Islander who is overrated, overpaid and over here.
I'm afraid I have no answer on who to bring in but for me apart from Sutton and TT (maybe Clubby if he returns) the rest of our props are poor in the extreme therefore we need at least 2 or 3 props next season on the assumption that we can hopefully retain TT.
If I'm totally honest I find that the present day prop at Wigan a bit of a mystery. None can do decent minutes, apart from Sutton I couldn't see any other sorting out an opposing shoitehouse and none do the hard yards from inside our 20 metre line.

You've almost answered your own point there. In that because there are no opposition props to be feared and counteracted, it's hardly cost effective to have a highly paid one on your own team, when the salary cap money is seen as better spent on the more glamourous backs and halves. Yeah, I'd love to have the modern equivalent of Platt and Skerrett back, but it would be at a cost elsewhere in the side.

They tied McMeekan to a new deal. It doesn't look madly accurate as it's got Laithwaite at Wire when he's playing for Toronto and it's got Leuluai out of contract with us.
If the rest is accurate though three props I think the club could do a job with and improve are Bousquet, George Griffin and Alex Gerrard.
All three are raw but they've got talent and loads of improvement in them. It'll be players of that mould who we'll sign if anybody imo.

This
Disco Thor is a comedy enforcer. Good for chinning a young halfback who is on the deck but that is about it.
