We couldn't just release players without them agreeing to it. They have to agree to it for us to do it or we would have to pay them compensation.

This is of course true, but I can't see any reason why the four players most mentioned in this thread so far - Goulding, Mathers, Phelps, Smith - would have a problem leaving Wigan. Right or wrong, none of them seem to figure in Noble's first team plans at present.

Being honest I can actually believe that rumour, its a simple easy, common rumour. Unlike the Gleeson is swapped for Phelps/Mathers or Mathers/Goulding or Goulding/Smith or Smith/Mathers rumour.]

If they aren't playing first team rugby then why would they not.

Smith & Phelps are likely to go at of 09 anyway, as is Mathers.

We must have the outgoings lined up because if IL pays the fee, its done.

Don't know if this has been mentioned in the earlier pages, but possible rumour that Goulding may only be going out on loan(not neccisarily to Warrington), because the club have in vested highly in him, with the chances that Carmont and Phelps leaving at the end of the season, our centres for next year will be Gleeson and Goulding.

- Phelps would struggle to find a new club because he is injured at the moment.

- Mathers is injured at the moment as well so the same would apply

- Tim Smith I can't see anyone really taking him on.
