| I just read the verdict and they say it wasnt a high tackle....goes to show the RFL are a joke, they said that he could not pull out. So in that case does it mean that you can hit anyone high if you cannot pull out of the tackle?...clueless.

so if you are in the process of tackling someone (around the chest say)and they duck when you are already in motion, it is a high tackle?

I've seen players done for just that many times. So yes.

So who's the real gutless wonder, eh?

Are you seriously defending Morley here??
The ball was gone, Morley was running along side Sherwin, with his arm straight and out away from his own body. He clattered Sherwin with a cheap shot. I do agree Sherwin ducked into it, abit, but that doesn't excuse Morley. (Unless of course, you happen to be sat in whitehall looking for your spine)

no not defending it, what i am saying is he was stepped, high shots happen now and again when big blokes get stood up, it was obvious morley was going for a big hit and if he wasn't stepped i think it would of been a fair ball and all hit. he was, and it wasn't, penalty right decision. but the attempted murder charge some are calling for is a bit excessive!!

On the rugby Field not in some tin pot charity boxing match(great cause by the way so i'm not disrespecting that).
A charity boxing match against Lee Radford(a right hard nut by all accounts) means nothing when it comes down to how tough Fielden is on the field. He's been picked out by Morley in the past couple of seasons and hasn't stood upto him. He needs to do that to get some of his old aura back and if he gets sent off in the meantime I don't mind because it'll give us some benefit long term.

Im confused as to how the panel watched the incident went from
The Panel reviewed an incident which occurred in approximately the 67h minute of the Match. In the Panel’s opinion Morley made contact with the neck and head of an opponent when tackling a Castleford player (Sherwin). The Panel accepted that Morley was committed and entitled to make some contact with his opponent, but that the contact with the head of his opponent was reckless and unnecessary; Morley had the whole body to go at but made contact with the neck and head; and that there was the potential for injury to the Castleford player. In accordance with the RFL’s On Field Sentencing Guidelines, the Panel consider that such offence is a Grade B offence (when tackling or attempting to tackle makes contact with the head or neck of opponent - tried to tackle but reckless about the outcome).
to agreeing that this happened
Player accompanied by Coach, Tony Smith. Player has less than half a second pull out of tackle. Opponent collapsing at point of contact. Contact on chest. Player was committed. No raised arm. Opponent goes down and ducks into it. Player has both arms out. Unable to pull out of tackle. Original contact was with opponent’s chest. No reaction from touch judge who has clear view. Video ref and official indicate not sufficient to put on report although a penalty was awarded.
I think what happened was that the rfl said tony we wont get away without banning 1 of them so which one do you need to play!

You can see him follow through with his swinging arm upon contact too.
Really odd one, was convinced he'd get a ban.

| If the reverse had been the case, such the former Cas player Dean Sampson had hit a Wire player and knocked him out cold, then Sampson would have got a ban.
We know that as he very often did, both!

| Whats the point in appealing a ban? Surely the panel have looked at the decision, seen the evidence and handed out what they believe to be the correct punishment, so i dont understand how a player can appeal and for the panel to look at the exact same footage and come out with a different result
