The money going to charity (a fairly small sum anyway) does not make it any less tacky. We should be better than this.

Terrible bit of marketing irrespective of where the money will ultimately go.
A lose-lose situation for the management.
1. Tacky
2. Very modest sum raised in any case
3. Poor management control and QC

Personally agree with the idea, many more kids will benefit from the 5 minutes another kid is on the pitch in widnes.
Although not executed perfectly a good idea by the club and credit to wigan and mr hogan for highlighting inaccuracies. IMO this not devalue our club in any way

I do get the feeling that people really are starting to moan for the sake of moaning. Although only a small amount may be raised for a worthy cause, if a few 'sales' are done each month/year then the money mounts up and soon there will be a couple of thousand raised.

true - Saints do something similar for the Saints Community Foundation, there was never any complaining because from the very start it was advertised as being for charity.
No-one will ever know whether Wigan intended this to be for charity or not, but on the whole it looks "dodgy". |

Also Saints are winning games. We are not. That is where all this stems from. When things are going well on the pitch, no one moans about things.
