Completely disagree and I'm with McManus on this one.

The whole Hicks thing was an obvious PR stunt imo and everyone bought it. It was nauseating hearing that 'brave' Hicks met the guy who gave it the big one on Twitter. Let's face it, nothing was ever going to happen and Hicks milked the spot light for his own benefit.

Saints have every right to be aggrieved, because either Hicks is incompetent by not going to the VR or there's something shady going on. Either way his season should be over.

As for the claim that poor referring is driving fans away, get real. Fans might chose not to go to the match due a perceived lack of quality players, expensive ticket prices and maybe even crap weather. Surely nobody says ‘I’m not going any more because those referees are rubbish’?

Exactly, he was spot on Carney good on him for making a firm stand on it at after the game. The pressure is mounting obviously and cracks are starting to appear, McManus shouldn’t be making such embarrassing comments talk about sour grapes. To claim a ‘death threat’ as a publicity stunt is beyond idiotic, seriously hope the RFL take stern and decisive actions again him for bringing the game into disrepute.

I think saints were better last year than this year not taking away from the season they have had because they’ve done well

Refs have always been blamed for all manner of ills in the game, for as long as the game has existed. If anyone has stopped following the game because of refereeing, they're a moron, but I doubt anyone has.

Twitter is a different level, threatening to kill someone is a criminal offence and should certainly not be ignored.

The ‘adult’ thing to do is to deal with the issue which is what was done.
