Agreed. Only Saints would know the medical condition of him the following season. That's not for me to comment on. As I say the punch didn't help, I never categorically said that the Flower punch ended his career.

On a final point though, after Hohaia iniitally tried to sue Saints, he has since retracted his comments and said that he'd wish he'd never bothered. He cleared Saints of any wrongdoing.

I think I'm exhausted on this now to be honest. It has at least generated a lot of discussion, I can't add anything further on it now than what I've already said. I have my opinion and its different than others, so be it.

to be fair to the Saints fans that have posted, they have been reasonable in their arguments imo but i do understand the 'us against them' mentality that brews when Saints fans post here given previous history (of which we have all seen a lot of)

Ok I have to come out of my exile to respond to this one.

If you read all my comments on here you will see that personally I have alluded to being surprised at Wigan in relation to this as they have shown their class of late with various initiatives. I also reference to the work that Peet is doing on and off the field. He actually comes across as a good bloke, his comments pre-match on Good Friday about Saints and then his well wishes towards Bennison after the crusher tackle were well received. Light years away from what Wane or other managers would have said.

My comments are not anti-Wigan for the sake of it. I would've said just the same if it was any other club.

The image looks great, I really hope that Saints do something similar next year for our 150 year anniversary. My main gripe is the official club account tweeting it and signing it off commercially. That's all.

i said 'How high is your horse' because you came riding in on it expecting a furore from us all whilst seeminlg unaware what was being written on your board in response to what a lot f us feel is a bit of a non event with a cartoon drawing.

In respect to your earlier post, i don't think anyone has ignored your view. I haven't. I have read them and disagree with them, that's why i haven't replied more. You have your view and i have mine, no bother. I feel the reaction form Saints has been way OTT and borderline criminal in some circles.

Just to add, i encourage any poste from other clubs to post on here, unless it's an obvious fishing expedition they don't get any abuse. We have lots of opposition come on here and comment, usually in the build up to a game and when we have been beaten because teams love letting us know when we have been beat. We are still the cup final match. Anyway, keep coming and keep posting.
