| Quote: Pie_Eyter "The problem isn't ticket prices or fan bases. It's all the other costs and general northern oppression. My bills have rocketed up by nearly £300 a month in the last few months. I am tied into contracts with Sky etc that i can't get out of for at least another 5 months and am currently looking for other bills i can squash. Going for a jolly in London is just impossible and couldn't be further from my mind. There must be thousands suffering the same kind of austerity with no wage rise in sight. Effectively feels like my wages have been cut around 20% with the extra money going out. But Boris said 'we would have to cope' so sporting events are way down the list.'"

My drive to work is the main culprit. I drive a 1.8L car that i am stuck with for now. That on top of the gas and leccy, food has crept up. I eat a lot of chicken so even though its only a couple of quid i have noticed that has gone up too so i assume every other food stuff is up to. Amazing how all these little price hikes all add up, and we won't get it back either. When the Ukraine invasion is over and fuel prices come down again the pumps won't change. Big business will be too happy gobbling up the profits and the government will be all to happy to collect the taxes. People will get used to the struggle as the new norm.

I suppose I'm lucky that I don't have to drive to work every day. It does now cost an extra £20-£25 to fill my car than before so I suppose it would add up if I did.

| Quote: DallasMead2 "Who do you vote for mate? Just out of interest like.'"
Well, at the risk of being controversial (which i can be) because i will speak my mind, my answer is a little convoluted. I haven't voted for years.
Being a northerner from a working class town and being a working class man (steel industry) i kind of feel it's my obligation to vote Labour. The issue with that for me though is my choices have been Jeremy Corbyn and Kier Starmer. For me neither of them have a clue what the Labour party is and what it is for. It lost it's identity a long time ago and is too London-centric and middle class. I feel as though nobody is fighting our corner. Just giving out soundbites around election time and visiting deprived areas giving out false promises and hope to people with nothing and making out that their fortunes will change almost overnight. Too many public services have become privatised, something the Labour party started in the 90's when they started auctioning off parts of the NHS and something the Tories have carried on with but smashed far too many public sectors by doing so. Socialist economics is losing the battle to big businesses and the little man loses out every time which plays into the Conservative mantra of making the rich richer and keeping the poor at the bottom. Jeremy Corbyn, i don't think i ever heard anything positive from him in all his time as leader. Kier Starmer is just a chancer who criticizes every move the government makes (as leader of the opposition, so he should) but never comes up with any solutions. Just tells them they are doing it wrong. Labour needs a shake up, a complete overhaul. It needs to get back to it's roots and remember why it was there in the first place if it want's it's voters back.
I can't vote for the conservatives, How can anybody vote for Boris Johnson, lies, law breaking and completely out of touch with the voter. Every situation they are handed, they deal with it in the worst possible way and the general public have to (usually) pay for their mess. If you are brought up with a silver spoon in your mouth, go to Oxbridge, protest a bit when you are a student and be completely out of touch with reality you can guarantee they will be budding Conservative politicians. Iv'e steadily been worse off since we had a conservative government.
So where do i go? The (not so) Liberal Democrats, the protest vote, The party that said they would ignore any referendum results no matter how many times they were done (whether you agree with the result or not) and push their own agenda regardless of the voter. So not Liberal or Democratic.
So outside the big 3 we are left with solo individuals and loonatics who have no chance of being elected to anything.
To me, voting is pointless. The old adage that they all pi$$ in the same pot rings true. It's not what they can do for us, it's what they can do for them. They get into positions of power and just willfully abuse it. Almost every week there is some sort of scandal in a political party caused by corruption and abuse of power. I find the whole process a waste of everybody's time. Nobody really wants to implement change for the better, ot for us anyway.

| I was surprised our following today was as reasonable as it was. It was £28 for my ticket, £22 for my dads and my mate and we shared the fuel but it’s one hell of a stretch for people, especially families, after the semis and now next weeks final.
Let’s just hope wherever people are watching it next week that we have a good day and a good result.

Some support Huddersfield did you say?
Have a good one pal, I am usually away at this time but delayed it until the Tuesday after the final (off to Antalya) because I wanted to go to the Spurs stadium. Funny how things work out with us being in it.
It’ll be tough work watching it in the sun, with a few beers but I guess you’ll cope

| Tickets apparently going free now with a promo code. Anyone seen this?
Not a good sign and insulting to people who bought them early.
Why would you buy them in the future?
I despair at the state of the game in this country.

Where is this promo code? I think emergency workers get in free but not seen anything outside of that.

How does it make RL fans feel? It doesn't surprise me really, kinda makes me feel like saying i told you so too. I said before the Hudds Vs Hull KR game that we should pray Hull KR got through and now here we are, giving away free tickets. I wonder what the reason for that could be

| It was clearly an error and those that ordered will probably get their tickets cancelled.

| RFL have been giving tickets away for free or heavily discounted this morning if you use code Good100 . I got 3 x £55 tickets in the Wigan end for £70 instead of £165 . Pretty poor from RFL after selling tickets to supporters at full price . People on social media going mental . Think the code has been removed
