You know what, despite my earlier comment I’m quite happy with this performance. We’ve just asserted ourselves and took advantage of Cas who have been extremely poor, the bulk of that blame has to lie with Richardson who has been awful.

Singleton has been outstanding IMO. Really led the pack and made hard yards and been strong in D. Zak has been brilliant too.

Still evident Smith is struggling with confidence. That ball for Gildart was indicative of what he can do but we don’t see it often enough.

Lam coach of the year

We’ve gone about our business very quietly, yet very well today. Yes, Cas have been poor, but you can only lick what’s in front of you.

Bullock embarrassing…could’ve & would have given Cas a leg up in this game on another day.

Lam baffling with the O’Neill selection & rotation. Surely the type of game to keep him on on to grow confidence in a dominant performance. The bloke seems clueless.

Fair play there.

Fair play to the boys - that took some guts. Cas were woeful. Singleton, Bibby and Halsall were good.

We simply don't have the attacking structures to give ourselves a chance at the end of the year but its a step forward at least.

Happy to see some smiles on the faces of some of the players. Bullock needs to leave quietly after that shambles though. Very clunky as usual, it’s hard on that pitch to create space at the best of times as it’s tiny but something to build on. Hope the forum goes well tomorrow and we get proper answers to the mess we’ve seen.

Never saw that coming. Credit where it’s due and a great win at a difficult ground for us.

Big effort, massively relieving win. It doesn't mask our major issues though, we don't have a chance of making the GF. That in itself is a huge question that IL and KR need to have an answer for. I don't expect a public admission of any huge issue, and as such no explanation/answer will be given in public.

I’m pretty happy after that. I thought we were good until the starting props went off. At that point we started dropping the ball and making mistakes and invited them to have a go. Defence was good but their attack was woeful, their execution was very, very poor, as much as I’d like to praise us the reality is they lost that game.

The last 2 tries pleased me, particularly the last as we opened them up by passing the ball. I’m hoping that might give us a bit of confidence and belief.
