It’s clear to us fans, couldn’t be much clearer to the players and it has to be clear to IL&KR that Lam isn’t good enough and won’t take this club forward, in fact I’d argue he’s taken it backwards the whole time he’s been here.
A “we’ll part ways at seasons end” isn’t good enough. He needs to go now and maybe we’ll have a chance of lifting the SL trophy.'"
Brilliant strategy
Who do you suppose you'll bring in? Don't bother naming anyone from the NRL as they won't come mid season - look at Fitzgibbon as an example of a assistant who has to see out the season at his current club before moving to his new side. Peyton, Kev Walters all came in for the start of a new season.

I don’t know who. I’m not even going to try and pretend I do.
Maybe it isn’t the best strategy but what would you rather? Persist on with a useless coach who can’t tactic his way out of a paper bag? Same old rubbish churned out every week with the same old nonsense interview?
Saints got Justin Holbrook early-mid season and look how it turned out for them. It’s perfectly possible to do, but we won’t. We’ll do it on the cheap to the detriment of the club.

| John Morris was sacked by Cronulla a few weeks and is available now. I thought Cronulla were making good progress under him and his sacking came as a surprise to most people. I’d certainly be quite happy if we were able to bring in someone like him. A completely new direction and someone with fresh ideas would be my preference.

Shane Flanagan would be a shout if we went the way of bringing in a totally new guy but we wouldn’t do it properly. I don’t think the finance is there to do it properly and that would be to let him asses his coaching team and fitness/physio department and to see who stays or goes and who comes in. A totally new man should also ideally be able to look at his squad and discuss retentions and the type of signings he needs to play how he wants to play. We simply wouldn’t do any of that, so I think Wane is the only man I’d have full faith in, although I’d want him as head coach and not in a part time role just signing players and doing bits and bobs with different age groups.

| I'd be very happy with Morris or Flanagan, but can't see either coming to the UK.

| I’ve said it before on here and I’m sorry if I’m repetitive but I can’t get away from how important the next couple of months are for the club. I’ve always had faith that IL & KR make their decisions with the best interests of the club at heart and if we get our recruitment right it could set us up for years to come.
Get it wrong and our demise will just get worse.
I get very frustrated when people say we might not have the financial power to strengthen properly, when we’ve got a billionaire on the board. I just can’t see why he would invest and be welcomed by the chairman if he wasn’t willing to spend some money.
Flannagan or Morris with some decent financial support is my hope but I suspect the reality will be Wane and a couple of championship players.

The Club are on good terms with Flannagan.

| Two things I noticed on Friday, Lockers was greeting every player, at the tunnel, when they left the field, no Lam. IFL did not look very well, I think the lockdowns have affected him - I hope he bounces back.

Rovers website saying they've had one more positive result, doesn't name the player so don't know if he was in Friday's squad, we're probably going to have an anxious few days if that player did play against us.

| Can see the game being called off if that’s the case, we’re already a few players down because of the England game. We won’t be able to field a 17

| Surely the England game will be called off before that happens? Doesn’t make sense to bring players across multiple clubs together when there are so many cases.

| Our starting props made 30 metres each from 4 carries and 3 carries respectively. That is absolutely shocking and needs to be addressed immediately. Either Lam is actively telling them not to run the ball in or they need to be fined for being the laziest props in rugby league
