Credit to the coach though...

It's ironic to say the least how Leeds fans are whining about our tactics when for the past 5-10 years we've all had to deal with the cheap shot merchants Bailey and JJB. How fickle that they can't remember some of the absolute disgraceful acts we've seen from Leeds players in the past.
As the saying goes they certainly don't like it up them and they seem lost when players stand up to them and their bullying tactics fail to work.
That being said - what a guy Peacock is. He bossed the game a couple of weeks ago and this week it was obvious we targeted him and tried to hurt him. A few times tonight he was smashed by the Wigan guys but he just kept coming back for more and more. Truly one of the modern greats of the game whose toughness is equal to anyone that has pulled on an RL shirt.

| I'd love to see a game between our first choice 13 vs their first choice 13
Compared to the so called mighty Saints, Wigan and Leeds are the two best teams in the league and the real deal.
Both are carrying British RL and SL on their shoulders.

| MM is the current version of Terry Newton - an absolutely brilliant hooker who nobody wants to face but who everyone wants in their team.
There is no better hooker in the English game.
And as for Ryan Bailey, whatever he gets he deserves. He has been the biggest thug in the game for years.

Wow indeed. Slams Bailey then praises cheap shot Mickey Mouse. All this hyperbole should be about your coach not an average thug. There are plenty of better hookers in the league now.
Shaun Wane continues to make silk purses out of pigs ears. Each season he has had his best players taken from him and now with kids he's pulling up trees. He's building a very impressive cv.
As for your lots infatuation with o'Laughlin. 1 to be good you have to get on the pitch 2 he's not in your top 6 loose forwards that I've seen play.3 in the world cup he was a level below Burgess Graham Roby and Sinfield which is where he's at.
Mickey Mouse at another club wouldn't get considered for representative rugby. He's an average thug.

I assume you're taking the pi$$ considering your username?
Re: your comments about SOL, give your head a wobble. He'd slot into any team in the world with ease. Lets just say if he turned up at Dull KR and was injury free then you'd soon change your views!

That bit might possibly be true, depending how old you are, but being compared to the likes of Hanley, Farrell, Clarke, Wane, Laughton, Lyon and Gilfedder is pretty good...personally I'd put Lockers 3rd or 4th on that list.

| I didn't think his shot on Peacock was that bad, just over zealous after the interruption.Leeds fans are going a little OTT about that challenge but not mentioning the Dudson shot in the back moments earlier which for me was worse.
MM is a player that is always going to be loved by his own and hated by opposition fans, his style of play is so aggressive he is always walking the tightrope, opposition will call him dirty while we will say it's an 'in your face style'.But say what you want I agree with other posters in saying he set the tone for whole team last night(along with Wane of course) and without him on the pitch we would have lost.

| Watching Macca last night was inspiring, he was immense - a true warrior, he reminds me so much of Terry Newton sometimes it is scary.

Newton was a more skilled player, but struggled to get the better of Cunningham and Lowes. MM would have given those two more problems.

| Yesterday showed what MM is all about. Immense. He does cross the line on occasion but if you take that away you loose the player. I would still like a bench hooker with a bit more pace and finesse to complement him. Powell may develop into that role but I'd love Clark. Looks nailed on for wire though.

You've seen more of him than me (though not many people see much of him) but Hanley Clarke Farrel are streets ahead for me and played in an era with better players. I stand by my world cup comparisons.
As for the rest of the replies.
Sorry for giving an opinion. All narrow minded fans think their thug is great. Trust me Mickey Mouse is a cheap thug with limited ability. He wouldn't get in our current team at Rovers. Hodgson has out performed him this year in a poorer team and has a far greater skill set. He isn't close to Roby who is a true 'warrior'. Targeted every game by Mickey Mouse types and just gets on with it.
The main point of my post which non of you responded too was what a coach Wane is turning into.
You should all put more effort into praising him than this pr#ck.
By the way how's the Cas wingers recovery coming on?
Wane improves each season and has brilliantly formed winning team's with little financial support, and losing his best players each year. He's allowing your youngsters to develop whilst looking after them.

Love to hear your thoughts on why you have given yourself a username not only after a thug (in his day) but also the way he committed his thuggery?
Does this make you 'narrow minded' as well?

| Rugby League isn't a difficult game. You run harder and tackle harder than your opposite Number and more often than not you come up on the winning side. Wigan play an aggressive Game right on the border (and sometimes over) of the rules, but I've no problem with that. I wish the Saints Pack played with half of the aggression that they do.
McIlorum exemplifies that every week for Wigan, And he would run through Walls for Wane and his Club and for me you can't ever replace that in a side. Would I swap him for Roby? I'm unsure on that, both offer different elements to their teams. One thing for sure, if we ever get a GB team back, they would be two Fantastic Hookers to have.
