Fair enough. My point still stands that Green isn't good enough to play the full 80 though.

The only problem I have with Green is his kicking game, we should be going to Smith or Sam on the last. Green created chances last week (Albeit he threw an interception try). His break for Pat's try and his pass for Thornley's break were top class. Kicking was terrible but he is by far our most creative player after Sam Tomkins.

Agree regarding his kicking game. But It's when we come to our 'set plays' that he's out of his depth. Just watch him tonight, he tends to kill the momentum because he's just lost that yard of pace since his injury. Hopefully he's back to full fitness but can't see it myself. If we lose tonight I'd like to see Hampshire play next week.

I would like to see Hampshire from the bench myself, but that doesn't mean I have to find fault in everything Green does. I would play him at 13 with Hampshire coming on at 6 as it means we have 3 creative influences. I have a feeling we may have a few different set plays tonight, can't wait. I really fancy us to win tonight.
If we score first I think we will win comfortably

I hope you're right, I really really do, but I just cannot see it.

For as well beaten as we were last week, Had Thornley's try been given (As it should) and he had passed to Hansen when going through we could have been 18-4 up at HT. We need to get back to being clinical but I have confidence we will see a big improvement in that area tonight.

For god's sake. Just when we thought we might see something different, it'll be the tried, tested and failed of L.Tomkins interchanging with McIlorum.

| Oh excellent Logan Tomkins is in the squad.
Can't wait to face St Helens next week now! What a joke
What does Hampshire have to do to get in the squad instead of Logan? Hampshire impresses every single time he plays, creates plays, makes stuff happen. Logan is absolutely useless. Smith to 9 and put Hampshire in the halves to spell Mickey Mac, why not?
Am I missing something here? Giants have 40 minutes of total domination already. Fantastic, just as I was looking forward to the game

Fully agree regarding Hampshire. I know I sound like a broken record but get him in there!

Difficult to explain why Wane does not give him a try especially with the total lack of attacking flair in recent games.
Even if we lose there is a second chance so why not give the lad a run.

| I've never really understood spelling Logan for Mickey Mac. He's a similar style of hooker, just nowhere near as good. I don't really see the point of playing a bench hooker unless you are replacing a distributor with scooter to come on and have a go at tired defences. McIlorum is more than capable of playing the full 80 and I'd much rather see us go with either 4 forwards on the bench or play another half/utility player, like Hampshire.

People have been saying it's due to his age and not wanting to over-expose him. I understand that but it's so frustrating knowing we have such a talented lad in the stands and a real lack of flair on the field. If you're good enough, you're old/experienced enough IMO. Get him in Shaun!

| Sets it up for an epic night, Wigan major underdogs, commentary write us off before it's started. Wigan wrestle with them for the first 20 mins, confidence grows, some of our underperformers have the game of their lives .... TBC

Unlike Murphy who got one game and then a semi-final to deal with Hampshire has a) had a few more games and b) this is not a semi final must win game.
We are playing the most unimaginative RL I have seem in years. OK early in the season against poorer sides we looked great but against the better teams we seem to have no idea how to unlock defences and it is just so boring to watch the same thing being tried and failing again.
The only way I can see us winning tonight is to stop them scoring and us sneak a couple of tries - pretty much like we did to Hull at Wembley because at the moment we don't seem to have more than 16 points available from our attack.

| are we the most pessimistic fans in the Super League?? the majority of our own fans seem to have written us off before we've even turned up to the game. There are threads about how many tickets we have sold or how many Huddersfield have sold and why we haven't shifted more...it seems apparent, why would most of you pay your ten quid to go and watch your own team that you have written off.
I seem to be one of a small group who are actually considering a win may happen.
