29281_1270406980.jpg When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

How the Premier League table would look if teams were awarded points for famous fans...
20th: Wigan
The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_29281.jpg |

| Quote: Cronus "If he was trying to kick Clarke in the face, he'd have kicked him in the face. He was trying to get his foot on the line to stop the ball going over for a try. As it was he kicked the ball and made minimum contact with Clarke's arm, and that was it. A very minor incident, blown up out of all proportion. I'll admit it didn't look good at full speed but replays show no malice in the slightest.
It seems to be getting out of hand. Grown men and women, many presumably with families of their own, screaming vitriol and abuse at a 22 year old, and probably [sizenot even sure why they're doing it[/size. Certain players (McGoldrick springs to mind) are far dirtier and niggly, yet they don't get an ounce of the abuse Sam is taking.
As I said, if he goes to RU I'll be happy for him.'"
That seems to be the problem, its like the football/xfactor phenomenon. You keep getting told via the media that somethings great and everybody wants a piece of the action. Same with Sam, these so-called RL fans have jumped on board the anti Wigan/Sam bandwagon yet completeley forget the likes of McGoldrick, Bailey et al.
Does Sam have some silly antics? Of course he does but then again so did Edwards and Hanley. And Sams far more talent than Edwards ever had and could be as good as Hanley. Yet I fear that he may not in RL long enough to make legendary status and I for one won't give him any grief if he does go to RU.

Correct can see both getting a game ban for that.

Ok. King did nothing wrong. Lima should be up for a 6 game ban. Sam 4. Hock rest of his life. Balls to it give them all a ban for having the cheek to wear a Wigan shirt!

I was going to second that, but I think Rogues may accuse me of being biased, so I won't bother

Unless I'm mistaken (in which case I'm happy to be corrected) what you're describing here is a cumberland throw, which is also banned. That being the case, either way, he is due some censure.

Lima shouldn't even have been on the field after his spear tackle on Delaney at wembley the week before. Had Tomkins been dumped on his head in the same manner you'd have been screaming blue murder about how poor likkle Sam needs protection from the big bad boys. Wigan in general get away with murder and that is why a lot of neutrals have taken an intense dislike to them. Not because they're successful (when they've won 3 champions titles in a row that's dominance), but because the RFL obviously see a successful Wigan team as raising the profile of the game and accordingly treat them with kid gloves. The game will be up for Wigan soon because people are fed up with the special treatment they receive and are now scrutinising every favourable decision given to them. It starts with the disciplinary panel this week and Hocks impending ban. You'll have to hope Colin Clarke is on the panel along with his sons "rugby gods" to swing it.

Thats the one I was talking about and you're right it is one of those and is banned like I thought. I think its in the same sort of area as spears and dangerous throws isnt it?

Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
