I didn't make the game as my time machine is currently broken, so I wasn't able to travel back to visit you in the seventies.
Just go to South Leeds, that'll take you back to the 1950s.

Talking about time machines reminds me of when I visited Wigan last, and went to where the Rugby ground should be. It appears to be a supermarket. How did that happen ?? Have you noticed as well ?

North West Leeds is where it's at.

| Why on earth do you care what the Leeds supporters were doing?
If it helps, I didn't go, much as I haven't gone to many, many games since I moved to the Midlands in 2007. I go occasionally, dictated by my schedule rather than by who we're playing, and it makes little or no difference whether we're home or away, since the journey tends to be about the same. I went to lots of games in 2004. And 2005, and 2006. And 1989 onwards really. Although, while I tend not to focus on individual games, I do remember that Wigan away was one of only 3 I missed in 2004, because I was on holiday. I remember being disappointed that the Wigan game coincided with my holiday. I was more hardcore in those days you see. If memory serves we did get two trips to the JJB that year though, so it was alright.
I could still make it to more games, but my life is increasingly "down here" rather than "up there" so my priorities have changed. I still consider myself a Leeds fan, rather than anyone else, so I think my loyalty remains intact.
No idea what everyone else who came in 2004 but not last week was doing. None of my business really. I thought I'd share my experiences with you in the hope that it allows you some kind of closure.

Calm down dear your getting yourself worked up!!
As with most topics Leeds fans are only interested when it suits them to be! I just thought with Leeds RL being the best club ever and the biggest and coming from the city thats the envy of everyone I just thought they may have brought a few more fans than they did.

Not worked up. Promise. In fact I find it quite relaxing to visit these forums to escape the irritations of real life. Unless you work for the European Commission then I assure you that we have no problem...
Why would anyone be interested in a topic like this when it doesn't suit them to be? I definitely wouldn't either go to a game or write on a message board if it didn't suit me. True story. People just seemed to be very troubled by the location of the Leeds fans, so I thought I'd try to help out. Every little helps, after all.

Until last Friday when you suddenly couldn't even be d to find out the score - which coincided, somewhat suspiciously, with many Leeds fans thinking they were going to get a tonking. Clearly we all have different definitions of loyalty.

A nice bit of post-modernism here. A Leeds fan demanding to know why Wigan fans want to know what Leeds fans are up to. He poses this question while touring the Wigan message board.

I'll go with the 45 years of history and Dictionary.com.
Which one are you using, your own ?

| I aint missed a game all year and didn't miss Friday.
But with the prospect of a tonking on the cards (i was hoping to keep you under 40pts), I can imagine why many people stayed home.

It was very busy round J31 eastbound at Normanton, looks like there'd been a big shunt. Plenty of police cars and ambulances. Even at 5pm the traffic was backed up to J29 the M1/M62 intersection.
