Quote: the flying biscuit "hey dont stop there pal..... your on a roll...
Fielden is better than James Graham and Adrian Morley
Paul Deacon is pace and youth personified (and a Wigan lad) and no way would he be swapped for Myler or Lomax.
Gaz Hock is simply the best in the world and if he hadnt took drugs he would be in the NRL ripping them pansies new backsides as we speak....Ben Westwood and Tony Puletua are crappin emselves right now.....FACT'"
I don't recall ever saying any of that...
For what it's worth, I think Graham is the best prop forward in the competition and I'll be sorry to see him go to the NRL. Fielden at the moment on his day is just as good as Morley, although Morley is a hell of a lot more consistant. Go back a few years and everyone (even Saints fans - not saying you are one, just making a point) said he was the best front rower in the world. You don't become garbage that quickly.
I don't think anyone on this board with a modicum of sensibility about them will even for a second try to claim that Paul Deacon has pace or youth on his side. What he does have is a huge wealth of experience to bring to the team and pass on to the younger lads, so you're correct in your assumption that Lomax, and certainly Myler, would be kept out of the Wigan team by him. Showed enough pace to set up Gleeson's second try at Old Trafford in October, mind...
It's impossible to say for certain where Gaz Hock would be right now career-wise if he hadn't been an idiot two years ago. He certainly showed signs of having the potential to play in the NRL. However, I for one can't wait to see him back and see what he can do. Most sensible people aren't expecting him to set the world alight as soon as he's back, although we wouldn't complain.
