Goulding has impressed me greatly this season, far more so than Hall, so I'm happy to have him in the side and all the best to him.
What a turnaround in fortunes for the lad - a nice "keep working and don't give up" story.

He's certainly not let anyone down at Wigan and I do think it shows that you don't need a 'marquee' winger to score a hat full of tries. |

In many ways this is the problem in a nutshell for Great Britain. We simply don't have a rival on our doorsteps that we can have a meaningful rivalry with. The attempts to get the France team to be this have failed as any kind of spectacle and we only play the Aussies or Kiwis now as part of larger tournaments hence no specific rivalry for fans to get their teeth into.
At club level the entire spectacle of the game is built on just such rivalries hence it flourishes.
Best thing that we could do for international rugby league would be to sell it to a terrestrial TV channel with a view to creating a competitor for the six nations. Games at weekend, in the afternoon at a ground that we can fill...
