Strange thing to be amused by

What gestures?

Got to say that I took my 5 year old to his first game last night and was in amongst HKR fans for ages outside the ground. We never felt threatened in any way whatsoever and an old guy from HKR even had a little bit of banter with my son ( making put em up gestures ) Must have been a very small minority that caused the trouble but you always get that. I thought the HKR fans were actually louder than the Wigan support. When you consider the distance they have to travel it puts all the other away support to shame ! Top effort

I wish some of you guys would take a look at the Hull Daily Mail website. There are so many Hull FC fans on there stating the KR fans were all a disgrace last night and we are the most hated fans in SL. They just dont seem to get it that we should support Rugby League, have your banter but not to spread malicious rumours.. It is so refreshing to come on a grown up site with decent fans who will not put you down.

HKR Fans are second only to Wigan fans IMO.

Wait till Wigan play Wire usual service will resume here. Hope though that there is actually a culture change happening and all the silliness and overreacting is going to stop.

and rovers fans have never slated fc fans on the same site either have they when the small number of fc idiots cause trouble?

Thanks for the good comments re our fans, much appreciated. Couldn't make the game unfortunately (was at a birthday party), but it's great to see the mutual respect both clubs have.

All the best for the rest of the season, will be cheering you on in the final if you get there, you deserve to and have been the best SL team this season.

The best comment on there was from a Hull fan saying how funny it was to 'hear Wigan fans chanting we can see you sneaking out to the Rovers fans, who left in droves'... priceless.

As many Rovers fans have already posted, it's great to see you guys don't tar us all with the brush, and all I can say in our suporters defence is that when the items were thrown the vast majority of fans in that stand were genuinly angry and made their feelings quite clear towards the general area they came from. Unfortunately if your watching the game you can't tell who actually did it unless sat right near them, hopefully if, as Ian Smith has said they are on CCTV threy will be identified and dealt with appropriately.
As for Sam Tomkins alleged gestures towards the Rovers fans, as someone posted on Rovers site, had Clint Newton done it to the East stand at the KC last week we'd all have been having a right good laugh about it. I have to confess I wasn't too sure about Sam, but seeing him on Super League Supermen confessing to being caught by his mates Mum wearing her underwear he went right up in my estimation.

Thats an interesting view. What has he done or said that comes across as arrogant? When interviewed he actually comes across as the opposite to arrogant i.e. quite humble. Just because he is a good player doesn't make him arrogant. He is actually quite a level headed lad.
