Quote: meast "like o'loughlin on robinson at murrayfield, yet the wigan lot went out of their way to defend him after that, robinson could have been seriously injured but that didnt seem to bother some wiganers who just saw the sun shining out of 'lockers' backside, irony dont go down well in wigan it seems?'"

We all go out of our way to excuse or reason in favour of our own players misdamenours. Dodgy head high shots, questionable tackles etc. But I cant really understand how anyone could support/condone Masons actions during tonights game.

Quote: meast "so sam tomkins has never stamped on anyone to wind them up or deliberately held a defenders arm/leg in order to gain a penalty?
o'loughlin and hansen have never deliberately tried to knock an opponents head off in order to gain an advantage??'"

I have not seen this incident you keep going on about but it isn't the one getting replays on Sky which ought to tell you something.

Quote: meast "im not saying what mase did was right but to say huddersfield came to cheat is way off the mark, we came to spoil your party and we came with a plan to wind your guys up and we came for revenge for what happened at murrayfield and we left with 2 points, job done imo.'"

So Mason doing what he did to Fielden was part of a game plan?

Are you for real?

With a different ref your "game plan" i.e. professional fouls and stamping would not have worked. You must love it when Bentham is the ref.

Can your team win a game legitimately?

I dont think anyone is. He will get a ban and deserve it but it is being overplayed a bit compared to Baileys knee or Abletts head hunting it was not in the league of either of those.

However if he gets a ban for standing on a player then Tompkins should get one for standing on Fa alogos hand. Check it out at 15mins 37 on the clock just before Tompkins gives away his penalty. he had no need to step out with his foot towards fa alogos back hand other than to foul him.

I look forward to Wigan fans supporting his ban for dangerous, dirty, niggly play

read my posts again, nowhere have i condoned/supported what mason did,i was merely pointing out that huddersfield didnt come to cheat and that wigan players have been as guilty as anyone has at bending the rules, resorting to foul play that could result in serious injury and that most wigan fans usually condone it, the irony is that when its against wigan they all cry foul but yet its ok for one of theirs to do it.

Your talking out your so a high tackle and milking a penalty is the same as lining a players leg and stamping on it?

no but attacking a player throat high with an elbow is surely? however a penalty is gained it's still trying to gain an advantage is it not?

Well you get 10 / 10 for anatomy correctly identifying that the leg and neck are different parts of the body. However you get 0 /10 for Logic as the previous poster was pointing out that different players at different times use different ways of gaining an advantage either legally or illegally. WIGAN bend / break the rules as much as anyone.

I can honestly say I have never seen a Wigan side adopt stamping as a winding up tactic but you seem to think that is what Mason was attempting to do did and that is legitimate.

Since when was stamping a legitimate part of winding anyone up? We all know players milk penalties and try for a sly dig etc. There is world of difference between that and stamping yet we have Hudds fans on here bracketing what Mason did with gamesmanship.

You will be telling me eye gouging is all part of the game next.

And O Loughlin hitting a smaller player in the neck when he is kicking the ball is alright.

Yes it was gamesmanship and he deserves a ban as O' loughlin should have done when he tried to decapitate Robinson.

the difference is we are not all as sanctimonious about it as you are.
