| Rules will change, no doubt, quite how they will do it i dont know, but suddendly super league will need to be more of a level playing field again.

They'll probably wait 'til they get to court, and then invent something on the spur of the moment like "it's not in the spirit of the play-the-ball".

People like Potter who are seeing his "all star" team age and break up, are fast realising that his success story with Catalan mean nothing with "superstars" like Jon Wilkin as his front line of attack, so naturally his instinct is to want the team at the top dealt with by rule changes. Stunning really.'"
10 Games of the season have gone. I think a few on here are getting ever so slightly carried away!

| We really need someone from the RL to come out and say that Wigan are playing within the rules. If we ever want to challenge the Aussies at International level we need to rid ourselves of Sky's obsession with super quick play the balls and easy yards from dummy half and get back to the days of old in which halfback play was the key to unlocking defences. The NRL sorted the issue out 10 years ago when they announed rule changes to stop attacking players from going to ground to easily in order to steal easy yards at the next PTB but we don't seem to have cottoned on yet, probably as I say because of the obsession from our paymasters with a lightning fast product with hardly any skill or guile involved.
If I wanted to watch the ball travelling the full length of the pitch with little effort or invention I would watch basketball. Likewise with scorelines of 48-44 and sides scoring at will every time they have the ball.

So you'd disagree that the difference between Wigan this year and last year is enormous?

| The common factor between Kear and Agar is that Kear had 54 put past his team where as Agar only had 48 put past his lot.
It's not the Wigan defence that's the problem between these two but their own defences.
Perhaps they should sort out their own problems before starting on about Wigan.
Potter mentioned that Wigan were not playing to the "spirit" of the game.
This, as the salary cap proved, is the rule which only applies to Wigan.
The RFL confirmed Wigan didn't break the rules on the SC but they deducted points on the "spirit of the cap" garbage.
Potter, in a radio interview, admitted Wigan are not breaking the rules so let's see how this one turns out!

As I've said before, I have been very impressed with you so far this year, and you are certainly a much stronger side. However, after 10 games, it's a bit early to be proclaiming "Wigan are back" or the RFL will have to change the rules to make things level again. My Memory isn't the best but weren't Huddersfield near the top of the league at this time last year?

It's quite amusing actually.
Potter / Kear / Agar: "We don't like this rule, so it should be changed."
Wish we could apply this kind of logic to our everyday existence.

What did Potter say after the Wigan game that was so annoying to Wigan fans? Not sure I've read it.

Why are we? All but two coaches have complained about our defence, one being smith who complained about the video ref making the correct decision, and Macnamara who won, so no shock there!
Every coach has bleated about boring rugby, whilst wigan have scored some fantastic tries joel's yesterday was amazing, there would be cum all over the commentary booth if matt king or john wilkin had scored that try! But once again the fact that Wigan are playing well and looking good, means instead of getting upto the level to compete, we should bring that level down!
Now im not saying we will win anything, but dont you think its a shame we are encouraging mediocraty once again!

For a supporter of the team presently heading the league, you sound remarkably bitter! Slick didn't make any derogatory comments about Wigan's tactics so far as the Saints website is concerned (I didn't see his post-match comments on Sky, if any, as I was at the match). He simply said Wigan 'won control of the ruck', which in coaching terms is an accurate observation.

That shows exactly what I mean. Yes your playing well at the minute, But I really dont think the RFL or anyone are going to be changing the rules to "Bring down the Level" after 10 games. Yes you have looked extremely good for 10 games, but I wouldn't say that you have took the level up any further, it's certainly to early to be saying this after 10 games.
As for Cum in the commentary box? I really think this is something you have to get over. Which ever fans you talk to, they always believe that Eddie and Stevo are against them!
