39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| We normally sell out the away end at the HJ but last year we didn't, if that means Warrington want to hold back tickets as they think the home fans will buy them, then fairplay to them!
Personally I think it would be best to give us the full stand and put all tickets on sale to both wigan season tickets holders and none season ticket holders. Sell as many as we can and then give the remaining tickets back to wire.
As people have said though, people who want to go, will go.
As for wire fans having a dig at Wigans following last year. you only brought around 1,000 the week after you got to the challenge cup final!

| Quote: Wire_85 "Wigan have a track record of buying tickets slowly then moaning when they can't get them anymore..
If Wigan sold the tickets quick then am sure we would send more but its not as if Wigan sell out the amount they get straight away they haven't in recent seasons so 1,800 is probs based on past sales.
Fact is anyone Wire or Wigan if they want to go the game at this moment in time there is nothing stopping them from going on the website or either club shops.'"
I think this is a good post. Wigan fans have a mentality of leaving things to the last minute and then complaining when they cant get in. I agree that Wire can do what they want with their tickets, i just thought maybe they should of sent us a few more. We take 1800 to the likes of Wakey, Cas, Salford etc. so im pretty sure we'll have more than that at Wire. Anyway, sorry for sparking this pretty pointless debate, as you said if anyone wants to go the game they can go!!

| Not to worried about the ticket allocation but having had a look at the official wigan web site am surprised that tickets go on general sale on sat at 10 am when we have a home game the night before. would think that if they went on general sale on friday night anyone going to the Hull Kr game who is not a season ticket holder could buy them after the match. If any season ticket holders have not bought by then then it will be their own fault as they will have had all week. Unfortunately this wil be a sky plus game for me as I do not finish work in Chester untill 6!

Dave T, Quick Question
Do you agree that it is impossible for Wigan to sell out the full Away End when Wire are selling some of them to their own fans before they go on general sale at Wigan?
Do You agree that Wigan have brought Very good numbers (Maybe not last year, I can't exactly remember wether we did or didn't TBH) and that this statement from SLIM
"yeh, right, i stand in the west stand every home match, last year you couldn't fill it, and this year you probably won't! some realism is required here me thinks!
I made no reference whatsoever to whether Wigan could sell out the West Stand. Why do you need me to answer an obvious question, you aren't stupid (are you?). My involvement in this discussion was around you stating that we should have given yuou 3k tickets, just in case you may sell them.
The quote you highlight from Slim was actually right, surely you could do better, although from reading your posts, I suspect you actually can't!

Dave, let me just get some crossed wires (Forgive the Pun) straightened here.
MY 1 & only point in all of this was aimed at SLIM, not you or anyone else.
SLIM came on here and said " "yeh, right, i stand in the west stand every home match, last year you couldn't fill it, and this year you probably won't! some realism is required here me thinks! "
Now I see that as slightly inflamatory especially with the at the end.
I was simply pointing out that it is impossible for Wigan to seel out the West Stand as the very same tickets go on sale to the Wire fans before they go on general sale at Wigan.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Now then, if I have misinterpreted the Jest of his comment,I apologise.
However the 2 x replies from SLIM confirms my 1st impression, he had no intention of coming on here without having a Dig at Wigan Fans Hence the
""yeh, right, i stand in the west stand every home match, last year you couldn't fill it, and this year you probably won't! some realism is required here me thinks! " "
And as soon as someone pointed out that it is impossible for us to sell the out the stand if we aren't actually given all the tickets in the 1st place there are 2 x replies from SLIM with at least 1/2 dozen insults thrown in!
Dave, your responses were spot on and at no point did I disagree, I only asked was I right in saying that it is impossible for us to sell out a full allocation of a stand when we aren't given ALL of that allocation in the 1st place.
It was someone else (Nogga) who said they shouldn't be selling them to Wire fans just yet, I was respponding to a Barbed comment from SLIM that we Never,Will probably ever etc etc by pointing out that unless we are given then we'll never know?
With regards to the 500-600 Wire fans attending the JJB then I know that isn't true, but someone bit hook line & Sinker.
That is exactly what I was trying to do by pointing out that if someone (Not You) comes on Having a sly little dig & they aren't right in what they're saying they'e going to get a bit back.
Now Dave, as for the stupid remark, I'll ignore it as I believe were at cross purposes here.
I have read countless posts of yours on both sites and the vast majority have been Spot on as far as I have seen in the past.
That's why when You asked me the question I tried to reply back with a concise explanation of why IMHO believe SLIM was wrong with his original comments.
I totally agree that we shouldn't be given all the tickets, but then don't come on having a go at us for not selling it out? Do you agree?

Think that's a mistake on there as the ticket office isn't even open this Saturday. General sale is on Monday.
I've never known an away game to go on general sale on a home matchday by the way, busy enough with that night's game without that being thrown in to the mix as well.
