How about we keep the salary cap and make the focus on bringing through local players.
Wigan has and is bringing through some great players like Tomkins etc. are you not happy with this? |

I don't know whether or not he's slightly above average as a coach but to me Hull KR were considerably better organised and prepared than Wigan. They also didn't have any overweight players. I'd swap coaches with them in a heartbeat.
Dobson's kicking game was very good, he is a quality scrum half and we haven't had anyone play as well in that position since... well, Dobson! It underline how much we need a real scrum half.
I couldn't help thinking that Dobson and Tomkins would make a superb half back partnership.... not that BN would play Tomkins though... |

I don't agree. In the current standard of SL they are a good side.
I will say the current standard is poor but they are a good side in the current competition.
Should they be a good side with the likes of Gene and Fozzard in there? No. But they are.

Now, now Dave, with that logical argument - I agree they are a good side, but its all relative - you are actually providing some support for BK that the SC isn't all its cracked up to be... the current standard of SL is poor. The visitors to this board won't like that... |

| Lets be honest over the past 5/6seasons, is it me or as the standard of SL got worse and worse??
On topic tho, I don't agree with the first post, I suppose Hull KR are performing above expectations? Still no threat to the likes of Stains and Leeds come the end of the season.
Yes we (Wigan) are now a mid-table team...  as much as I don't like to say it... But our big reputation still means we have a say in signing big names unlike most mid-table teams |

I don't "do" many salary cap any more because its here to stay. We have to live with it but I don't think it does any harm to point out "Good side" and players like Fozzard and Gene in it is a bit of an oxymoron.
