Solomona is class but too injury prone.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

Quite a few Wigan fans don't rate him either, which I find puzzling. I'll concede straight away that he's not one of the best in the country, but the lads works tirelessly all through every game, and now that he's getting his offensive act together as well as his defensive, he's emerging as the sort of all-rounder that any SL side could make use of. However, I don't believe he's creative enough to play loose forward.

To be honest, I would say that he IS one of the best in the country. He's always been a good player, but he's turned it up a notch over the last two seasons or so, especially since cutting out the handling errors and high tackles. He takes the line on a lot more, and is very effective with ball in hand.

Imagine the unforced error count with that backrow. You need a workhorse in their, take out Solomona, and have a Galea or a Westwood in the backrow.

Yeah, I get you.
I'd go with,
11. Galea
12. Westwood
13. Menzies
I'd be happy with that. Hock from the bench. I like Hock alot, I'd just take the hard working backrow over the fancy one. Hock from the bench to punch some holes.

Hock is a superb player when on form, as has been said before he needs consistancy and he needs to cut out the dirty stuff.
As far as not taking crap from other players Ned Catic springs to mind!
All the same I wish Wakefield had him in our back row.
Good luck in the cup draw

| Hock is a quality player on his day and defiantly one of the best 2nd rows in SL. When Hock plays well Wigan play well which is a massive complement to the guy.
BUT;
Like the rest of the Wigan team he’s struggled to maintain any amount of consistency week to week. One week he can blow any team in SL away with ease but the week after it’s fair to say he won’t be that good or have the impact on the game a player of his talent should have.
If he wants to be truly classed a top player then he needs to find the consistency other forwards like Faz, Scully, Cunningham & Peacock have or had (even consistent form like Graham had last season should be the bench mark).
I really do think if he can have big or good games week in week out like the players I mentioned above did or do then he could be one of the best 2nd row players we’ve had.
The talent is there.
