| I'm a bit concerned that tickets only go on sale to non-members in mid-January. Just hope there are still some left at that point.

Decent bars and plenty of outdoor areas. Great if there are plenty of Wigan fans coming down. Cant wait to get tickets on Monday, just $18 for the Chookpen. Still don't know which shirt I Will be wearing.
Roosters or Wigan or both?'"
Haha it has bee a few years since I was last there? What was the reason for getting rid of it? I thought the monorail was a great way to get to certain places in Sydney, it was fairly limited to where you could go but I thought it served a good enough purpose.
You should be supporting Wigan. Obviously!

| Quote: Bondi_Warrior "Its not that bad, but everywhere will be expensive when compared to prices in Wigan. If you pay $10 you would expect a pint. I think anyone who comes down will just have to get use to the fact that Sydney is expensive but you cant compare prices between a town in the north of England to a major world city in Australia. At least compare prices from London.
Darling harbor is perfect for meet ups. Decent bars and plenty of outdoor areas, and plenty of places to put up some flags
I wonder if I could take 4 twelve packs of bitter on the plane as hand luggage.

Details of packages are now up on the Wigan Club site.
The first package by Catalan Travel is from £1840.
The second is by Kiwi Travel price from £1200.
Reading it the Catalan Package seems to offer more in having organised trips included etc, whilst the Kiwi one seems to be just travel and hotel and the Fan would have to fend for themselves.
Anyone would have to read it themselves to make their mind up.

There will be tonnes left. I hate to say it but the WCC is hardly the biggest draw down here for Aussie fans.

LOL, its a tough one, but I get the feeling on the day I will be in my Wigan shirt.
As you said it was fairly limited to where you could go, therefore it wasn't used enough. It was losing too much money as only tourists used it. It was pretty pointless to the rest of us.

Blue Mountains is good, followed by a trip to either penrith or Parramatta leagues clubs for a meal (and nosey around)
Sydney harbour trip (we used Captain Cook tour) is fantastic.
Bondi is overrated but worth a look.
Manly beach is superb by ferry then get a cab up to their Leagues club
Lunch at Doyles on Watsons Bay (again by ferry) is a must.
Enjoy.

Cheers Rogues, I'll struggle to take her out to rugby stuff besides the game but I'll check out the rest now

Also take the Ferry up to Parramatta (about 1 hour) Peter Wynnes Sports shop there is well worth a visit for RL memorabilia. If you're lucky you may bump into Brett Kenny in there.
You can buy a three or five day pass that lets you use the ferries, trains and buses all around Sydney. Well worth doing.
