| found myself cheering for HKR . great to see josh do so well on his first SL game.I have been watching the academy for last few seasons. Josh realy stepped up last season and has continued to progress at a rapid rate. well done to the lad.

| Roberts, Richards, Goulding, Pryce, Charnley, Ainscough. What the hell are we going to do with all these wingers? Roberts at full back and Pryce will presumably shift to centre when Carmont retires but I don't see how Charnley can break through unless he overtakes Goulding or Richards goes for an NRL deal (surely he must be getting offers from down under, I know the NRL is a much better standard but Richards is brilliant). We're producing so much talent it's ridiculous. I guess this is another nail in Ainscough's coffin too, I still think he'll make it somewhere though.

| I was under the impression Josh Charnley was a specialist winger and was being played out of position for Hull Kr?

strong rumours that ainscough and pryce are leaving according to some on her. cant say im fussed about ainscough but pryce id like to see stay, his injury problems may prevent this from happening.

St. Pats, I believe, although they're "Southerners" originally.

Yep - Milton Keynes.
Although some Dire fans would have you believe that MK is actually in Warrington as they seem to be claiming Sam was born there.

I only wish people could see that with Karl Pryce.
Spoke in-depth with members of our group from Perpignan, who attend reserve/academy games regularly, and they told me that in Josh Charnley and Iain Thornley we have potentially world-class British centre-wing combination.
I watched the academy game before the Les Catalans game too. The french weren't bad opposition, but our lads were too good for them. Iain Thornley was outstanding. I pray that we keep him out in the centres and that we don't lose him to Yawnion! He went my college and speaking to a few of his close mates they told me that all he wants to do is play for Wigan RL and no-one else.

They lived and played at Chorley prior to moving to Wigan and St Pats .

I kept the faith and I kept voting
Not for the iron fist but for the helping hand
For theirs is a land with a wall around it
And mine is a faith in my fellow man
Theirs is a land of hope and glory
Mine is the green field and the factory floor
Theirs are the skies all dark with bombers
And mine is the peace we knew

Don't move the goalposts.'"
I thought you had been put right about this pointless line of argument numerous times? How good a player plays in the academy is no guarantee he will make it at SL level. You of all people must know that.
Therefore it was a silly statement to make that a player who had never played a SL game was a better player than those who have played at SL level.
And no I am not saying Charnley will not make it. He had a very good début but all the academy games you have seen him in don't count for anything in terms of making the comparison you did.
Dave
