Hasn't Gleeson played at 6 Internationally? And aren't you a bit premature with your views? He could have a stormer.
Save your comments until after the match imo.

| Seriously, is the answer not CP to 6, TL to cover Hooker, PR to 1 and Ainscough on the Wing?

12150.jpg It's just WIGAN, nothing else. Get rid of that stupid nickname.:12150.jpg |

| If it had been Riddell injured instead of McIlorum, would we be worrying about who could alternate at hooker? Nope, McIlorum would do the full 80, I think.
Hypothetical, but says a lot about the relative merits of the two players.
Seems crazy to be planning a full rejig to cater for one player's fitness shortcomings.
So (and I've said it before)must play Riddell. Alternatively, could Flanagan do it?
Leave the halfbacks alone, let them build a partnership. After all, if Riddell is still here next year, we will have Leuluai at scrum half at least some of the time, and maybe most of the time, unless we do manage to sign a new halfback.

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row

How many hookers play the full 80 these days?

Aren't there a couple who do so in SL? Though why it matters what others hookers are capable of I don't know because you know as well as anyone we must sub Riddell at some point because he clearly isn't capable of doing the 80. So when we lose MM to injury we are forced to consider the options mentioned. If Riddell was fit enough we would not have to have the musical chairs scenarios.

Leuluai tonight, likely, partly at hooker?
The Australian-inspired fashion for a porky distributor and a wick scooter alternating is not the only possible tactical solution to acting halfback. Just because they (more or less) all do it, doesn't make it set in stone. I'd like to think a good coach would be looking to innovate.
Oh well...

7914_1630875396.png I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a triple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union. But I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league.

Pretty much as expected, however a little concerned with Goulding in the centres, personally would have had Pryce there with Flanagan on the bench but we'll see.

| Looking forward to Goulding and Mossop taking their chances. Hope Goulding shows the benefits of pressureless 1st team experience and Mossop shows why he can step up to the 1st team
