| Quote MadDogg="MadDogg"I personally have sympathy for Noble in respect of making these decisions, it can't be easy.
He's now got tough calls all over the place. I can see his reasoning in leaving out Ainscough from the 6 outside backs but I could equally see the logic in leaving out Amos Roberts.
Mcilorum was great at the weekend, possibly his best game ever for the club. But I am also of the opinion (and I realise I may be in the minority) that Riddell has been pretty decent in the last couple of months and does the side really want to be without his experience in the pressure of a cup game? That would be a 50/50 call for me as well.
Harrison Hansen and eventually Eamonn O'Carroll will also eventually provide further competition for first team places and this is just amongst the established first teamers, some more kids in the academy I'm sure will also start to make claims as well.
It is pleasing in the sense that this is Wigan and players should have to fight tooth and nail to get their place. This hasn't been the case whatsoever in recent years.'"
you'll never please all the fans all the time.we have an opinion, and the fans will all have different ideas of whats right and wrong. makes for a good sport and good debate.

| As much as I was pee'd of with BN for dropping SA last week I could see his reasons behind it. My big problem this week would be if he dropped Michael McIlorum for Riddell. MM took on the best 2 hookers in the league last week and was head and shoulders above both of them, the rotation with him and TL, TS and ST is working brilliantly so why change that formation just to bring in a bloke who has yet to REALLY impress this season?

| I think its really unfair on SA and shows that BN didnt have much faith in his ability to break the first team and have such an impact but as good as many knew he was not many expected him to tear it up so much, BN also said S.Tomkins would only get 10 games this season i wonder if his deal is similar and they are obvioulsy going to have to bump up his wage.

| Quote SiY="SiY"There must be a reason Nobby is keeping Ainscough out. Ok maybe a little stint out the first team side to keep him fresh, but if Shaun doesn't feature again in this season it will be an outrage.'"
I have heard that its due to Seans contract, once he make a certain amount of 1st team games then his wage increases. This wouldve been fine if it where not for the signing of a Mr gleeson which by all accounts has taken us to the limit of the salary cap.
As a result noble is probably saving sean for when injurys hit the squad.
could be wrong but thats what i heard

| Hmm, then maybe Noble is waiting for the right time to use him. It's a shame, i wouldn't think it would go up soo much.

| We have to go with Noble on this.
The decision is his.
Personally I might have gone with Ainscough, but tbh his defence needs improving (it's no good scoring 4 and letting 3 in).
He has time on his side though. Fix his defence (and work out a strat vs the high cross kick) and he could be an all time great. I rate him that highly.

Stop being childish. He hasn't said that at all, and you know he hasn't.
There's no need to get hot under the collar just because someone disagrees with you. Not everyone on here likes this decision by Noble, but others have given perfectly valid reasons why they're prepared to trust him on this one.
Noble's job is far from being safe. He's selecting sides that he thinks will win matches for us. He can't afford to be vindictive.

| Please not Riddell though, he obviously isnt fit, he should be given time to recover and get match fit again, not risking him in a cup match!
