| There's no reason you can't surely?! Wire sell tickets in the supposed away end.
Like I say there isn't a demand I presume to be able to do it which is surprise. This game for Wigan has been one of many big games over the past few seasons but it's been overshadowed by semi's, finals and a couple of WCC appearances. Saints have not had those to worry about in the main but even the Wigan fixture hasn't been a source of comfort as they've been pretty one sided.
Friday is Saints biggest game in a good while, make no mistake. A side on the up, playing well and wanting to prove a point.

How do you know there isn't a demand? Saints are obliged to give Wigan a certain percentage of tickets. You don't see Wigan selling out the North Stand for derby fixtures at the DW do you?

That's cause we're too busy shifting 19,000+ seats in the home sections - a total which exceeds the entire capacity of your stadium.

Thanks for pointing that out, but my point still remains - no team would ever go ahead and sell all 4 sides of their ground for a game like this and leave none for the away fans. It was a silly comment from NickyKiss.

| Where did I say leave none?
Wire sell tickets for that away end whilst also giving the away team an allocation. I'd have thought Saints would 'need' to do the same.
Saints also don't 'need' to give us two full blocks of seating but they do because they're not confident they could sell them to their own fans.

Saints have sold tickets in the East stand.

Again, not true. Saints give away fans the option of sitting as some people (mainly elderly folk) don't like standing.

I've been looking for a couple of months to buy an east stand ticket from Saints and they were never on sale on your site so I think your incorrect.
And on the second point I appreciate that Saints give an option to people who may need/want to stand but a full two blocks? There is no way we have that many fans who will go to Saints and are in desperate need of a seat.

The fact that the North Stand is sold out would suggest that whatever tickets were given to Wigan for that stand have been sold.

| There was great grumbling from Wigan fans in the first GF at LP about not enough tickets being allocated to them.
Now they moan that they have been given too many.
Basically they just like to whine.
I recall conversations from that first match about how Wigan should retaliate for Saints not giving enough tickets and not give Saints the whole away stand on the return leg.
The East hold 3800 I think. However there is no seating. So a further 300 - 500 Seats is one of the unallocated sections from the North stand. It's not a lot of seats. But it does allow Wiganer's to have the choice of sitting or standing.
Of course I would not expect any sense 48 hours prior to game time, but in reality it's was the best option to give Wigan a similar allocation as to what Saints get for the away game.
As we sold out our Sections days ago and some have resorted to buying from Wigan, it's clear that Saints could have sold more to home fans, but imagine the noise that would have come about having no seating, or about mixing the away area, that Wigan have traditionally made their own.

| No moaning at all from me that we have too many tickets. I'm happy that you've given us a quarter of your ground.
I'm just surprised you guys are so chuffed you've managed to shift 13,500 tickets for such a big game. The crowing you guys have done since your tickets went last week would make you think you'd sold the Nou Camp out! Or even a big superleague ground like the DW!!

Well at least you're big enough to admit it.
