fair enough in your case, but alot of other people see it the other way round! i see both as trophies and am happy with either! suppose thats what happens when your not used to your team winning things. |

I was going to make a serious contribution to this subject but find an infantile debate going on.
Keeping this brief if you look at the SMH Monaghan wants to come to serve a period in"purgatory in Super League" before returning to the NRL.
If he cannot be accepted in the NRL why does he and the Aussies think they have a right to come here. Many will find my views on our poor standard of rugby etc. previously stated under other threads but their opinion that he is not worthy to appear in the NRL but it is OK for him to go to Super League is not one I would share. It smacks of a bit of arrogance and insinuates that discipline and moral standards are higher in Australia than here. I know standards have dropped but not to that level.

I don't know anyone who would rather win the challenge cup than the league, even with our past glory and an trip to Wembley on offer. I'm not saying it's not great to win it, but it's better and harder to win the league. Hopefully we'll win the treble next year anyway |
