So you're objecting to NK's singling out of Saints indiscretions by doing exactly the same thing re: Wigan's? Then you spend several posts trying to justify Saints' whilst not doing the same for Wigan's. Am I right in assuming that's an example of the balance you're looking for on here?

I put the question to YG if he felt the timing of Saints Covid issues were suspicious and he said not. I literally give up at that point. I mean come on, let’s not beat around the bush here, it’s at least a bit suspicious that a team can have no issues and then have a couple of weeks off at a time every team would love a reset.

Wigan would’ve been pummelled had we been in a position to do the same and we’d be pummelled for the other stuff I mention but ironically YG throws around ‘well Wigan do loads of bad stuff’ as a defence for something he says doesn’t need defending. I’ve lost some respect for Saints this season at the end of the day. That he’s me trying to wind Saints fans up, crying like a baby etc, it’s just my own feeling. The Saints team is good enough not to play the tricks they have and thats a compliment. I’ll be staggered if they don’t win the Grand Final again. The fact they’ve manufactured an advantage only helps their cause but I’m not sure they even needed it.

Saints are currently on played 18 (can't remember if they've been one of the teams that've been awarded a 24-0) so that's a possible played 17, question is are they going to at least try and fulfil their fixtures or calling it quits now they've reached the play-off threshold.
Catching up with their fixtures would put a hell of a strain on their squad leading into the play-offs over the next three weeks.

Manufactured an advantage? What if we finish 2nd and face a tougher semi (Warrington as opposed to you for example) because of the win we gave up when we supposedly faked covid? Not much of an advantage is it?

My question to you is if you find what Saints did suspicious then can the same be said for every team who have had games postponed when they weren't favourites for example? If so, then I am right in saying we are no worse than anyone else aren't I? And therefore shouldn't be singled out.

Also I did acknowledge earlier that the timing of our covid could be seen in some parts to look convenient when I said "Some of the cancellations (including ours) have come at a handy time and in that sense can look dodgy and too much of a coincidence maybe. But by the same token in our case we gave up a home game to Huddersfield which could cost us the league leaders shield, so I find it hard to believe we faked it. Yes it came at a good time in terms of a post-Wembley breather but we also gave up a very winnable game."

One of the journos tweeted the other day that they had been briefed by Super League that no more games were being arranged now and rounds 23-25 would complete the "regular" season.

thats what i was told too, what should happen is every team at that point should lose 24-0 games that were called off that was their doing

We've never 'had that issue before'. Just because you claim something doesn't make it true. It didn't the last time and it doesn't now. I don't 'mix things up in my head'. I respond solely to what you write. What you wrote was 'just because we missed a couple of games' as if that was the full extent of Saints' indiscretions and then went on to write a list of Wigan indiscretions that I merely pointed out could similarly apply to Saints. I've mixed nothing up. All that's happening is, as usual, you're trying to pretend you haven't said something that is plainly there in black and white for all to see.

What about 'its the same at other clubs'. Not excusing it again? It doesn't matter if others are doing it. That's the weakest justification for anything you could possibly apply. What's more it is exactly that...a justification.

We're definitely not in a position to gloat about anything atm BUT the Eamonn Mcmanus celebration was more than a little funny. Well done to Catalans and Bernaud Guasch.

Yeah no gloating, Saints took their foot of the gas but they’ll thrash Catalans in a proper game unfortunately. Saints had a lot of ‘injuries’ again tonight. It’s handy that when you play at such an intensity in defence and need a breather.
