Also fair points. I'm looking forward to see the match up when both teams have more like first choice teams out next season.
I think it's the closest the two sides have been for a while and it makes for a more interesting fixture that's for sure.

I think the addition of Burns to play alongside Walsh next season will make a massive difference. You've been competitive and actually took out 2 of the trophies (ok, the GF wasn't a genuine test in the end but still...) with only one specialist half back in your squad. I think I'm right in saying that next season will be the first in a few seasons where this problem will be addressed so it'll be interesting to see how much impact this has. There's a strong argument to say you go into next season as clear favourites. |

With a full strength team and the best half back pairing in the league, Saints will walk over wigan next season with ease. Thompson and Richards, 2 19 year olds made a mockery of wigans supposed hard pack on saturday.

Yes, of course. I mean look at the evidence. Saints couldn't put 12 men to the sword on Saturday, even though they had 13 men against 12 for 78 minutes.
They made one solitary break in the whole game, against a team a man down.
Anyway, I really don't know why I would get involved in a discussion with a poster who thinks that Travis Burns is one of the top two half backs in SL.

thanks. Its been posted 4000 times but its been brushed under the carpet by wigan fans 4000 times.
It has everything to with Saturday. If wane thinks his team may struggle then he coaches his players to "knock them out" and "create mayhem". I guess Dixons jaw broke itself.
I work where I'm the only RL fan and this morning everyone was talking about it. I found myself defending the sport I love once again. Wane is a good motivator thats all, ball in hand you're still using Mcguires plays. RL is a small community expecially in the playing department. If I where a wigan player in that dressing room lining up against friends who are opponents, I wouldn't want to knock anyone out and would have to say something to the management team. |
