I'm not a big fan of MM for some of his dirty tricks in the past but I admit he's a decent player and Wigan look stronger with him playing.

Anyway, I don't think the was much in his late shoulder charge last night. I accept it was late and used the shoulder but he didn't exactly give it to laithwaite. It was more of a little nudge with the shoulder.

I know it was enough to have him carried off but ion he was loose after he passed it as he wasn't expecting it which caused "whiplash" style impact. It's natural to relax after passing the ball and that's when MM hit him.

The challenge is nothing worse than other off the ball hits that's been creeping into the game lately. Sia at saints has done it 3/4 times the last few weeks.

Again I'd say there's not a great deal in the Walmsley incident. Robinson is tiny and Walmsley is a beast. He's got him slightly late (just like Micky Mac) but these things happen. The way the sky team went on you'd think he'd tried to kill him.

The game is getting watered down too much for me at the minute. The slow motion replays aren't helping. Play McIlorum and Walmsleys at full speed and neither would look particularly bad.

There was more in the Walmsey incident as there was direct contact with the head. It wasn't that bad but he will get at least 2. What it does is put the MM incident in context. I look forward to the Giraffe's comments on this 'cowardly' attack

A similar thing happened a few years ago when Lockers flattened Robinson with a front on challenge, he wrapped him with both arms and let his superior weight do the rest, a lot of people in Yorkshire have brought it up since and slated Lockers for that tackle.

MM is a great player a tough player and a total pantomime villain.

MM is the new Terry Newton, being a Wigan fan in Wakefield I was constantly told what a grub he was and a scum bag etc......until he signed for Triniry when he became the best thing since sliced bread.

We pay the money to be entertained. MM is a very good player and also an entertainer. You don't like the physical stuff go watch football.

It could certainly do Micky Mac a favour. I still think the Walmsley incident wasn't all that bad but it was worse then Micky Macs.

A game for both IMO. Micky Mac on reputation and Walmsley on the incident alone.

IIRC Moon got 3 reduced to 2 on EGP. I'd expect Walmsey to get the same. I'd be suprised if MM got any more than a warning letter. It was no different to the Tomkins one, the Clubb one, at least 3 from the Hudds v St Helens game tonight and a host of others this season. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a grade A charge for the cannonball tackle though.
