I think IL's record speaks for itself. He inherited a patchwork club from an owner in DW who combined empty promises with zero know-how and a chairman in ML who was outdated in his thinking and half the time didn't seem to want the job. The DW/ML model of Wigan RL had failed miserably, and almost saw us get relegated.
In contrast, IL's approach - so derided in certain corners (in a particularly big way on the other forum) - has won us the Championship three times, the Challenge Cup twice, the League Leaders' Shield twice and the World Club Challenge. The argument ends there, to be honest. I'm sure the man himself would admit that there are some things he's got wrong, but overall it's been great stuff.
I don't disagree about Shaun Wane. He had a good run with us, but things were definitely getting iffy, both in terms of performances and player behaviour. The new broom that is clearly now going through the club may cause some consternation, but it was sorely needed, and I'm very hopeful that more big things will follow.'"

I have total faith IL will get us back on track, and I hope he stays around long term. |

Haven't been on there in years, but that must have been in one of their politer moments It was amazing how they allowed two or three malcontents to set the entire tone of the forum. |
