Then I'd suggest you stay off here for a while.
There's no way Wire are going to keep making big name signings, and Wigan fans not question it.
Especially when a new way to get around the cap has just been uncovered in Australia, and hints have been dropped that other clubs are doing the same thing.

And would you not question if this was the other way round?

Leeds have a great squad with big name players never questioned it once.

Plus with the quota coming down I imagine it's seen as an even greater risk as you want your quota players to be playing as much as possible. At his age I can't see him getting at most 3/4's of a season in in 2 years time.'"
There is a rumour Owen is Hudds bound to cover the loss of Hodgson, would have hoped we would have been having a look at him to potentially replace Phelps.

And if they were supposedly looking at Hodgson then I'd probably be questioning that somewhere on here too! haha
I have questioned them to my mates in the past but always give up coz they're probably untouchable from the RFL anyway.

Leeds squad is built differently though. They have a lot of players they produced through their academy, whereas you've bought most of your top players and therefore would be expected to pay more.

Doesn't matter does it?
Top players will want top money doesn't matter if they bought them or not.
Someone said it the other day one problem of the cap is its harder to hold onto good players that have come through the youth system because there isn't the money so they go elsewhere.

We broke it in 2005 as well and had 2 points knocked off when fighting relegation in 2006.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

You've convinced me, some Wiganers are thick/ignorant.
By the time he left, Gleeson was a cancer at our club. Talented player but an absolute . Getting him out of the door for £100k and replacing him with a player like Mathers was the perfect solution for a club that desperately needed a fresh attitude. Wigan needed a strike player and had £100k to waste. Everybody won.
Mathers has his limitations as a player but he made a significant contribution to our season and winning our first trophy for 30 odd years. You might not like it but it's true. If Mathers gets shipped out to be replaced by Brett Hodgson I'll be sad to see him go but there's no shame in that.

And the underlined is what convinces me that some Wire fans are thick/ignorant.
Works two ways.

| Yes it does work both ways. On another thread on here someone has quoted Feka as being on £200,000. I've no doubt he isn't, but look at your overseas and federation trained players (all 9 of them), all of whom will be on good money, then Fielden, Gleeson etc, and you start to wonder how Wigan get under the Cap.

Why have we got 9? I can only count 6.
Roberts, Riddell, Carmont, Bailey, Feka and Phelps.
