| Quote The Chin's Back="The Chin's Back"Games are reffed differently at Wigan too
Refs and officials can miss knock on's by Wigan's scrum half prior to them scoring at the other end in the next set, They also disallow tries for obstruction when it was clearly not
There was also no mention of Hampshire picking the ball up from a kick through whilst an offside position v Widnes by the match officials, which resulted in a try and ultimately won the game for you?
The fact that Wigan are undefeated at home speaks volumes for how much of a "Homer" the officials are there
But i wouldn't expect a Wigan fan to notice this

| The Hampshire offside was an appalling decision. But if it highlights anything, it's probably that tries scored from last-tackle cross-kicks are always double-checked for onside, even when there's clearly no prob, but offside from kicks in broken play is much less closely scrutinised. Not that that's any excuse.

| Not wanting to sound pedantic but Wigan have been given 4 league points in their last 2 home games through incorrect officiating, although its put you nicely tucked in 3rd position

Hit a nerve there I'm thinking.
It's not a post to stir anything up but an honest assessment. Do I feel we get more of a fair ride at places without much atmosphere like Huddersfield, London (in the past) etc then we do at Leeds, Cas, HKR etc? Absolutely!!
If you don't like it well I'm not really bothered.

I'm not bothered either TBH i was just pointing out the facts, since you have responded to the points that i made surely means that it was your cage that was rattled and not mine
Shame you didn't comment on the points i raised though regarding your 4 league points in your last 2 games that you were awarded incorrectly?
See you in the semi's

| Might it not also be because Wigan's current style of play is better suited to a wider ( football stadium) pitch rather than the more narrow pitch you get at a traditional rugby league only ground?
Not sure of the difference in width or even length of the DW and say Castleford's ground. The fact that Burgess is the league's top try scorer and Manfredi was also up with him until his injury proves that Wigan get the ball out to the wings frequently and the wider pitch obviously facilitates this.
And all this despite not having any "real " centres in the team! How many more tries would Burgess (or Manfredi or Charnley) be scoring if they had Gene Miles or George Carmont playing centre? Offiah only made his debut for Wigan in January 1992 and scored 30 tries ( in about 20 games) in the remainder of the season, including 10 against Leeds in the Premiership semi-final and 5 against Bradford in the Challenge Cup semi-final. Happy days for those of us old enough to be there!

You could be on to something there. The DW pitch size is exactly the same as St James park newcastle. Castleford is much shorter but I don't know the width. Wigan's expansive style certainly suits the wider pitches. However we lost at Warrington and their pitch is wider!

| Has anyone noticed how far the touchline is infield at Saints (on the side where the players come out) We commented on it at the game there in June. I don't think the playing area was that narrow last year.

| Also the pitches at St Helens, Hull & Huddersfield appear to be shorter than Wigan. Try lines at these grounds appear to be on the edge of the football 6 yard box markings whereas at Wigan the try lines and the football goal line is the same. Could it be these grounds were not built big enough for a Rugby League pitch.
