| Really pleasing win in the face of disgraceful tactics from Catalans. There were some really good signs for the back end of the year tonight I thought. To see lads like Taylor and Charnley back on too form is a real bonus and Clubb and Pettybourne have really added to the pack. I thought Smith and Bowen were really good as where both Powell and Williams which is much needed.
The only down side was the injury to Burgess. Hopefully it won't be too serious (although I think he's due a rest anyway).

| Best performance yet from Williams - definitely more comfortable at halfback.
Smith is a very consistent halfback and a great organiser. Rarely gets headlines but so important to us.
Bowen was all class in attack.
All the forwards ran hard and defended hard - can't ask for too much more.
Completion rate early on was dreadful but overall a very pleasing result. Still hoping we can challenge for the League Leaders Shield - no room for slip ups but we are capable of going on a run.

| Les Cats is a difficult place to win so that was very good.
The BBC report made me laugh. The full report is not up yet but the summary startsurprise victory over Catalan Dragons."
I know our form has been more erratic this season but you'd think we were London with a report that starts like that. Cheeky b*****s.

Leeds play Cas next week so its imperative we beat Hull and take advantage of one of them getting beat. I'd take first for sure but as long as we finish top four then that'll do nicely.

They have updated it now: "Wigan Warriors scored six tries in a well-earned win over Catalan Dragons." Thank you BBC!

| A very good win from an extremely well disciplined Wigan team.
The Cats knew they could get away with it as Child is a ref easily intimidated by a home crowd. They should never have ended the game with 13.
The two points are very valuable as we've not too bad a run until the final two games of the season v Wire & Leeds. Hope we can build on this win v Catalans.

Glad he did well tonight. I'd heard how good a prospect he was but up to tonight i didn't rate him. Changed my mind tonight. Hope he keeps it up.

I groaned when Child was announced as the ref even though I wasn't expecting things to go that way.
Their coach gets a few brownie points for not doing a Nathan Brown spat (from the BBC):
"There was an element of ill-discipline from our part given the penalty count against us. We spoke about wanting to be aggressive but there is a line that you can't cross. Unfortunately we crossed that tonight."

| I didn't notice at the time, probably because I was still effing and jeffing at the disgraceful antics of the lunatic Catalans, but reports I've read are suggesting Hughes kicked one of the goals. Is that right? I thought Smith kicked all 6

| Excellent performance from the whole team. Apart from a scratchy first quarter I thought it was a really good display with superb discipline in the face of disgraceful tactics from Catalan at the start of the second half.
No player should be singled out as I thought every one of them seemed focused and did their jobs well.
James Child handled the game superbly well I thought and comes out of the game with huge credit.

The French coach deserves a lot of credit for that statement.
