7, had you a natural hooker (don't give me the NZ tosh, he's only a 9 for those to fit him in the squad) then you'd currently be top. It's the same as us putting Monaghan at 7, yeah he does a decent job but he's not as effective.

It forces him to get involved more and take on the defensive line. Far to often in the past at scrumhalf Tommy would be anonymous in games.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

He is quality with both. In our team at the moment he is a 9 and is the most attacking threat we have in that position but overall he is more potential at 7. He is more consistant at 9 though which I like.

Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? This is a tough one. Tommy is a dangerous player no matter what position he plays. If he'd been at 9 when Finch first came in I wonder if the comments on here would be the same? It's true Finch is giving us good direction now and him and Deacon are kicking teams to death but only the last 2 games really?
I like mike mac and wouldn't even think of bringing in another hooker unless it was Cameron Smith!!
To answer to original question, I think Tommy is equally good in both positions and his impact on the game can be improved when those around him do their job right.

Haha. Of course they'd play a player who they didn't even pick for the Anzac tset out of position just to fit him into the team! Let's ignore the fact that NZ actually play well with him at hooker and have won the world cup with him there. No, you're absolutely right...no, really....honest...I'm not joking....  |

and you said my standards had dropped.
People on here are saying since he's been at hooker he's more involved, well yeah duh Hooker is the most involved position on the park and a Benji Marshall he isn't or even a Stacey Jones.
At hooker he's a third the player Riddell was, and if piggy was a kiwi i'd guarantee he get the job over TL.
