What a brave lad Darrell Goulding is. Showed some real character and bottle. Something that Mr Pryce could do with. Hobbled off in the Stains game and then played the following week in the Reserves.
I'm actually really disappointed you've posted this.
I think Darrell has been tremendous recently, and deserves his place in the team and lots of plaudits thoroughly. Quite why you have to demean that sentiment by putting down another of our players I really don't know. I honestly expected more from your posts than this.
Darrell, you've been fantastic and come on leaps and bounds this season, well played lad.

It's because KP is really frustrating and the Stains match in particular really sticks in my throat. We would not have conceeded that try from Jamie Foster had KP been there to defend it. We had Bailey and Carmont defending out wide. You look at the effort, commitment and character shown by Darrell Goulding today and it really shows Karl Pryce up. He hobbled off with nothing - certainly in comparison to Goulding's dead leg - and then played the following in the Reserves!

| I totally agree with the opening poster.
By all accounts Pryce's fellow players werent impressed with what he did against Saints, an injury so bad that he could train in the week following the game and play the week after in the reserves. That and the general lack of work rate in games just doesnt endear him to the coaches or his fellow players, or indeed the fans for that matter.
Goulding showed a lot of bottle and it was a great piece of play and a great kick to set up the opening try. It said on Sky that he has scored 49 tries for the club, that is some record for a 22 year old who was often one of Nobles favourite scapegoats and was often dropped for no reason and without explanation.

If Amos was going, why would he be used as the face of our new season ticket advertising campaign?

I would be gutted if Amos left. A lot of the excellent Rugby League we were producing earlier in the season came off the back of his, at times, World Class plays. He was simply staggering. I really hope he doesn't leave.

| Always a good finisher, but for the first time in his SL career I've recenly begun to see the Academy/Reserve player I watched coming to the fore.
The kick for Tommy's try, at full speed, whilst taking on 2 mean and the touchline was nothing short of superb.

being critical personally I was disappointed that given that much space he did not finish the opportunity, still he made up for it with the kick.
Mark Calderwood would have died for that level of space in his Wigan career.

| Agree with OP and to compare one player to another is something fans have been doing for generations. In this case the OP compares Goulding to Pryce and Goulding comes out on top for all the reasons stated.
FWIW me and yorkshiretillidie had the same conversation last night.

7741_1339451243.jpg When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.
Unfortunately it's usually an oncoming train:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_7741.jpg |

| As a Bradford fan, Karl Pryce is one of the most disappointing players I've seen come through our academy.
He's big, he's fast, he's strong, he's got a good pair of hands and he's got a half decent kicking game. He has all the attributes to be a great Rugby player but for one thing. He doesn't have heart. Nearly every time he played for the Bulls he cried off with some sort of phantom injury when the going got tough.

And nothing much has changed since he came over to the sunny side of the Pennines.
Frustrating is the word that covers KP, i think.
Seems to have all the attributes - But hugely reluctant to use them on the field of battle.
I'd be very surprised if he's still with us next season.
As for Dazza G? No contest. Would get the shirt 100% of the time for me, against Pryce.
But then there's Famous Amos..........
