Time to play them at their own game, methinks. Make them play a game in Tenerife, with one on the Shetland Islands five days later.
After the World Cup, I'd be suprised if the JJB sells out let alone Old Trafford.

We never lose hope, Alex. Plus we all know we're more likely to give them a game on our own midding than on theirs.
We all know England were rubbish, but a lot of that, you know, is to do with acclimatisation and turnaround. Remember, England were in the tropics one week, down in Melbourne the next where the weather is very 'British' then back in the warmth after. Add to that several fairly long flights.
The Aussies, on the other hand, played all their games fairly close to each other. They ALWAYS weight it towards them. It's about time we pulled the same trick, and stopped capitulating to them. We've lost before we've even pulled on the jersey.
Plus, Manchester's a good up before and after

old traffords a football ground.........rugby should be played on a rugby ground.
ok we share/rent it but its still a rugby ground.
and the GF should be moved to a rugby ground too imo, regardless of having a lower attendance.
in an ideal world the rugby league would build a stadium for such events and hire it out in season to somebody.......us for example.......like hampden park and queens park sfc.

And in an ideal world, doing this wouldn't make Rugby League go bust.
What's the problem with Old Trafford? It's one of the most recognised grounds in the world.

The JJB is a ground made for Premiership Football.
When the JJB was constructed, there was nothing done with Rugby League in mind basically because there aren't any rules and regulations for Super League grounds that aren't already in place for Premier League grounds.

Fair enough. That doesn't detract from the fact it's one of the most famous Stadia in the world though.

| The biggest game bing played in the most famous rugby town. The Aussies probably insisted on it, it'll be a great occasion as always.

Oh dear, yer big tart. If you feel like vomiting, you might as well stay away. Don't waste your seat on someone who might enjoy it.
I feel immense pride every time I go to Old Trafford. After all, it's one of the finest and largest grounds in the country and it's home to the biggest club in the world, the most successful in England in the last 20 years and the club that every other in the country would love to be. I've been lucky enough to be there from more humble roots in the mid-80s and watch OT and United go from strength to strength. And remember, people hate United for many of the same reasons they hate Wigan.
It's all the better when I get to watch RL there, of course.

| It looks like they have played safe n choosen small venues. are the RFL scared of taking games to bigger stadiums i think 38000 at COM is better than a 23000 at JJB and why is the austalia v NZ game at the stoop when on the ticket page for stadium plan it shows there only opening 3 stands, when this was at loftus rd a few years back it drew quite a good crowd there cant remember what crowd.
