| Quote clifford="clifford"Tronc sounds interesting. Certainly not interested in Griffin from Hudds, heard they want rid of him because he is on a huge wage as well as some fallings out at the club. Would rather keep Coley for a year although rumour has it that Warrington and Harlequins are after him. Wish it was Fielden that was going. His wages pay at least what 3 of our current props are on combined.'"
would swap griffin for coley if we had to but would be very dissapointed if he was our major prop signing

You would rather have somone who is not getting picked at Hudds? Even though he has played less games his stats are poor . coleys arnt great but he only ever plays about 35 mins in each game. Defensively Coley is an unsung hero for the 20-40 mins he plays in each game.

Completely agree. Coley is solid. Not an enforcer but solid. He has gone from being awful and being dropped the second game of the season (Hull) to being picked before Fielden each week (i know its not hard!!!) and Feka but he is not the one we should be looking to replace. Its the big earners that do sod all week in week out and still get picked. I think they should offer Coley one more year if there is no great enforcer prop around. Are enforcer is supposed to be Fielden anyway

sorry mate. the heat must be getting too me and i am misreading everyones posts!!! I believe he wants to stay and finish his career at Wigan. Doubt he would have accepted yet but who knows. I think replacing him with like for like is just daft , that was my point.

i just havent heard anything about him getting a new deal and merely suggested griffin was a decent option if coley goes (like for like)

He said in an interview that the club had wanted to see some consistency from him if they were to offer him a contract, so he is putting his head down and working hard. I suppose its realistic that other clubs will want him for his defensive work if nothing else.

if hes working for a contract then fair enough but one cant ignore his upturn in form has occurred when his contract is up

| I'd keep Coley tbh. With Hock now out of the picture i'd sign a prop but keep Coley aswell and then that gives us a couple of option-
1-Against big teams we can play with 5 props in the second row and maybe start the game with Coley in the second row
2-If Fieldens form isn't good enough or any of the other props for that matter they can have a couple of weeks in the reserves.
A new years deal with the option of a 2nd in our favour for me.

we love Coley bashing on here. I seem to feel sorry for the lad and stick up for him just suppose he was that gutted at being dropped and put on the bench for the first few games that he got stuck in and tried his very best, hence his upturn in form.....
