Hock (or Hansen's) replacement?'"
He's a big unit and if we aren't interested in him i'm sure others will be.
That being said i think Gelling has the potential to be an excellent impact type 2nd row.

| Paterson has been excellent thus far for KR big unit running on the edges causing teams all kind of trouble.
Would fit into our systems well running wide on the flanks off Green.
I am sure all the top clubs would be looking at him should he become available.

| Mossop a definite done deal. Going for his health medical with the eels representative on Monday. Hock has also signed.

| I think Paterson would be a brilliant signing. I would love to see him at Wigan. It wouldn't surprise me if Hansen goes to NZW next year, Dean Bell is obviously over here to speak to someone's agent.

I didn't realise he was only 25, I would certainly have him at Wigan.

Hell no he would drive up the average age of the squad by 2 years. Too old for us
Ideal replacement for Hansen if he goes.

I think Hansen's agent is Frank Endicott so maybe Wigan isn't the place to bump into him

| Regardless of the clause I think he should be a target. He's having an excellent season and is just the type of forward I believe could add something to this team.
Get some cash off Parra for Hock and Mossop and go and offer a fee for him now but let him stay with KR until next year.

| Would be a great signing, I'm sure he won't be short of suitors if he does become available.

| I still think that we should try and bring in Antonio Kaufusi for next season.
He's a beast of a man who's played plenty of NRL games. On top of that he's a former storm player so he'd be used to our defensive patterns and techniques.
Oh and he's only 28 so a good few years left in him.

| So the word in Aus is that sam is signing for the new zealand warriors and we are getting 3 players in return 1 of them being kevin locke (current nz warriors fullback). he is a very exciting player probably not as good at the link up plays as sam but i think he will develop into a world class player at wigan.

This is interesting as I heard a rumour that Leuluai is wanting a return to Wigan next season.

| A deal like that would be immense but I just don't see it sadly. If Tomkins is going to the NRL I'd expect it to be a Sydney club to have that comfort of having blokes like Sam Burgess and James Graham close by. I'd love to be wrong though and a deal like that to be what's in the pipeline for when he does leave.
My overall feeling though is he'll be playing for Saracens this time next year.

Hang-on a minute! My undersatnding was that Super League is goosed and no NRL player is ever coming to these shores again yet all of a sudden, just to allow Tomkins to escape from his Wigan hell, three NZ Warriors, including highly rated Kevin Locke, are willing to up-sticks and accept pauper's pay and sign for Wigan.
Not saying it isn't true but being honest isn't there just a little bell ringing in your head telling you that somebody is feeding you a right load of rubbish?

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree. Knowing the towering, almost delusional arrogance of everyone involved in the NRL - remember Phil Gould saying that Gareth Ellis had to be taught how to play Rugby League on the day he arrived? - I can't envisage anyone, even the NZ Warriors, being prepared to send us three players, including their next star turn, in exchange for one British player.
