I argued strongly for Willie Isa over Joel Tomkins and I'm pleased to say that I was wrong because I thought Joel had his best game since his return. The idea of rotating Lockers and Joel may prolong both careers and also get the best out of them both. I thought Waney got the selection and tactics spot on.

And what a find Morgan Escare may prove to be. Although it is too early to say that he will replace Sam Tomkins at full back in the longer term.

I pointed it out on the VT in response to people saying we got the better of the calls. It was a shocker and a dead set red card offence.

I did. 100% he meant to put that hit in late. Gildart got rid well before the hit took place. Cronulla lad had plenty of time to stop his hit but went straight in with shoulder. At least it didnt stop Gildart from killing it.

Didn't notice that one until I watched the link above. It's hard to tell without a slowmo where the point of contact was but if it was around the head that's a bad one.

And yet we have Phil Clarke on the sky site earlier saying we got all the close calls. The games biggest call went totally unnoticed! They should have been playing with 12 men for 55 minutes.

I saw it straight away it was deliberate and I would think intended to deliver maximum damage.
The only downside to the game was that no Wigan player attempted to put their winger over the west stand which where he should have gone.
