No doubt it was a stamp and clearly deliberate.
What is most concerning (as well as the intent to injure somebody) is the lack of control in a big game and Eric is not the only one either. I have never viewed Eric as a dirty player but this kind of thing is hard to defend and he was just very lucky that he did not connect because he clearly meant to do.
I think that he was frustrated but when you play good teams like Huddersfield, Leeds and Warrington then there are going to be periods when you are put under pressure and I think there have been times this season when some of our players have not coped very well with it.
Do that in a final or play-off game and it could result in a red card or worse still with a player being seriously injured.
