turns out us wires were right.

and were are now nines champions as well.

feels better being a champion as opposed to just a mere winner.

To get this back on track a little, half a second is one hell of a difference when someone's running flat out, probably around four or five metres, which is a lot when you're the one doing the chasing.

Players tend to run slower when carrying a ball though.

it is a big difference. I used to sprint and half a second is huge.

what's more important in rugby is the first 5 -30 yards if you can pull a yard or two over that distance, even if the chasing player is slightly faster you will have the advantage on a clear run.

also the first 5-30 yards is more useful, more often in rugby.

as regards the sprint race , Ben jones bishop, jodie broughton , reece evans the hull player , did not play a single game, where as Ryan king played 2 games prior to the race. Something not quite right there if you ask me

not clutching at straws whatsoever , just pointing out the facts, note the first 3 did not compete in any games, i prefere a level playing field personaly

Nah it was unfair tbf if he had played not long before but at the end of the day it doesnt matter its what he does on a pitch that matters. Dwain Chambers would have outrun pretty much any player in SL but he was no good at rugby he didnt have the basic skill required so pure speed isnt everything. It just would have been nice to win that haha
