| Just ignore them. In a few years when they drop back down through the divisions, Cockney Lactic will become a thing of the past, much like Pooles pie shops and Safeway supermarket.

Cockney Latic has been going online for 10 years.

Yeah, but they have been on the rise for ten years, supporters will drop off as they drop. Regardless, you understood the point I was making.

This is the online definition of a legend
8. Archaic. a story of the life of a saint, esp. one stressing the miraculous or unrecorded deeds of the saint.
9. Obsolete. a collection of such stories or stories like them.
Due to the points I made I would say JR could be classed as a Latics legend.'"
What happened to number 1?
Two out of eight isn't too impressive

| Wigan will always truly be a Rugby League town, for the person who just questioned that.
As for the topic, well I personally don't think we'll move for a long, long time. Not unless Whelan does something insanely stupid and we HAVE to. I wouldn't want to, either; cracking walking distance for me every home game! Haha.

I like the place, even if there is next to no atmosphere.
Couple in Jawbone beforehand before wandering down. Same again after game.

| Quote: Conroy "Yes, but if only 60% of our fanbase is from Wigan and 80% of Latics' is from Wigan then is Wigan a rugby or football town?
Both sides get around the same amount of HOME fans every week. Wigan is a SPORTING town. Simple as that.'"
Dont think the Latics home crowd is near the Rugby. Average attendance maybe but we know how that is bumped up.

First sensible post I've seen on there.
That Jayt bloke is in my fantasy football league. The absence of Latics players in his team is interesting

Perhaps it wouldn't be too much to ask Latics fans to sacrifice their embedded belief system that Wigan's past glory years are somehow hindering their progress to the top of the Premiership (and accept the reality that they aren't and never will be a big enough fish to attain such status anyway).'"
It doesn't matter. If Latics fan's decided the rugby wasn't an evil in the town and came to embrace the club and the sport there will be rugby fans complaining the stadium is overrun on match days with football fans.
Both sets of supporters are now as bad as one another, trying to score points over the internet over attendances and results. Even the level headed fans of both teams still have to put in sly digs or imply negative connotations with each club.
To truly distance ourselves from the rivalry the sacrifice's that need to be made are to swallow a bit of pride and ignore the Latics/Rugby if your not a fan and forget about passing down this childish 'Never Forget' or 'This town is a Rugby League town ONLY' verbatim to our children and their children and let them decide what they want to watch and treat both sides with equal respect.
Only when that happens will there be an end to the feud.

Well said that man!
Although as previously stated the focus of negativity that is Whelan/Linday will have to depart the stage before that process can even begin

To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

Naaah, it's always good to put a face to a post. Especially when both face and post display equal levels of sublime idiocy.
