Well if that comes off England could have virtually an entire pack playing down under next year.

But that aside, if we are about to lose three of our forwards, two of them props, it would make sense to be looking to recruit an extra front rower. Surely you'd agree with that?'"
Still is speculation, I've also heard the same rumours, but that's all they are. If Mossop and Eric do leave then I'll pass comment.

Which Sydney club? Won't be Souths as they play Inglis at fb who is far superior to Sam. In the halves they play Sutton, who's recently just signed a new deal and Reynolds who's tipped for origin.
I can imagine it being more likely to be the Roosters, Minny's contract is up at the end of the season, at 32/33 he might be on his way out.
However, all this like 98% of things on here is rumour only.

| Powell to me is as good as signed.
The Sale guy wouldn't go on local radio and tell a pack of lies when he said Powell had signed for us on a three year deal. HKR had Travis Burns signed up for around 2 months before we announced Blake Green was a Wigan player.
A good signing IMO as we need someone who can play under intense pressure in big games. If Lauaki departs then that's Hock and him gone without playing a game this season. Although the younger props have done brilliantly I do think it is a good move to bring in an extra prop.
How long it takes him to adjust only time will tell. Once announced I'd expect him to be given two weeks off as Thornley was after a full season of Union.
The off season will prepare him for 2014 when maybe other forwards may have gone.
I like his signing, another really big man for our front row.

| They haven't done much wrong so far judging by results (though we've won nothing yet) in terms of the squad but this looks like a real risky signing to me. Very long in the tooth for a convert IMO but we'll have to wawait what transpires.

They would probably move Inglis into the centre position to accommodate Sam.

| Can't see any NRL club paying the required release fee for Tomkins. Unless the RFU want him as part of their plans for the next RU world cup he will have stick it out at Wigan for a couple of years until the fee reduces to a level acceptable to an NRL club.

What's his release fee?
He's a world class player. I'm sure teams in the NRL would be falling over themselves to sign him.
Not so sure about Mossop leaving though. V. talented player, but his shoulder socket is made of tissue paper.

| I still can't see him going anywhere bar Saracens. There's obvious links to them and he's got a Union agent.
Also from the clubs point of view Sarries will offer hard cash, the NRL clubs won't! Maybe we could sort a swap deal with an NRL team but knowing Ian Lenagan he'll think he can do more good with the cash.
I don't think we can question his judgement so far.

By all accounts Inglis has been very vocal how we wants and loves being a FB. Can't see Souths willing to unset their start player to accommodate a lesser player.
Regardless, if Sam does leave Wigan, I'd much sooner see in the NRL than Union. Personally if I was in his position, I would move to the NRL for a few seasons.
